I just picked up a 2003 rancher ES in fairly good shape. 21xx miles. The previous owner said he hadnt run it for a couple years and that the last few times he had, he said it would stall after what it was "warmed up".
I was hoping to bring it home drain the tank and possibly fire it up and see what the problem is. I took out the plug and it seems brand new, turned it over and it gave me a lovely shock. Sprayed a little starter fluid in for good luck and tried to fire it up with some fresh gas. 0 luck. just cranks and cranks
It seems to be turning over no problem, but it didnt once fire up. Back fired maybe 1-2 times over different cranking sessions. The plug seemed a little wet after i pulled it like it was getting fuel. I am a little stumped but thought you guys would have some direction for me. I am a newbie when it comes to repairs
Thanks
