i have a 96 and an 01 250. the 01 and 96 starts up fine when cold or warm. the 01 has very slight stumble if you call it that on the low end. the 96 runs much more smoothly on the low end. Im going to get a carb kit for the 01 but i also want to check the compression on it. Whats the correct procedure for doing that? i was using a cheap harbor freight tester and i know its around 30-40 psi off, it read 70-75 psi, Same as i rigged on my shop air line that i know puts out more than that. so i kinda figure it good compression because it does have ok power just a hair rough on the low end rpm range. its kinda hard to screw in the adapter with the plastic on it but i did manage to get a consistant reading. any ways of doing it easier? lol
