THE STORY BEHIND THIS MOTOR…..

Very shortly after installing the turbo kit and the add on parts above to this engine to handle around 13-15psi of boost I seized a rod. This was due to the fact that I made a mistake installing the turbo rings and failed to put the turbo oil supporting piston ring in and it was burning oil, enough that in about 2 days of dunning it ran out of oil and one of the rods seized.

So at around 1900-2000 miles the engine came back out and a BRAND NEW crank ($700) was installed. I obtained a set used rods and a cylinder from a forum member that had about 500 miles on them. So around 1000 miles ago a new crank, 500 mile rods, bearings, 500 mile cylinder, & rings were installed. Also installed manual oil pressure gauge and is included.

Several hundred miles after that my crank seal started leaking (silicone was plugging return port) and the motor came back out again. I replaced the seal AND the crank bearings again just to be safe.

This engine AS LISTED made 122 HP to the ground on Gas at 12psi. After the dyno session I switched to E85 to be safe and targeted 13psi of boost. Car was very fast for an XP4. I would estimate it made 130-140 on E85 at 13psi.

The car has 3084 miles on it, but several hundred miles back, before Easter this year I lost the actual Aerocharger Turbo (cracked housing & bent shaft). At that time I pulled all the turbo related stuff and ran naturally aspirated for last 300-400 miles. I am now doing an Arctic Cat Turbo Z1 swap.

Also, around 1450 miles I blew the famous transmission bearing / case and had to pull transmission. When pulled the engine to trans tab was broke. I had it professionally welded and gusseted – see pictures. I believe it is stronger than factory now and has over 1500 miles on repair.

Motor is COMPLETE – INCLUDES EVERYTHING IN PICTURES and all “add on” parts above installed and is ready to drop in. I can include Stock Injectors to run naturally aspirated, 42lb (Gas for 15psi boost), or some 60lb Injectors for E85 and 15psi. I can also send you a PCV map / tune / settings that should get you started for Gas or E85 and 13-15psi.

I understand you are taking a chance with this engine as it is used and has some "history". It basically has everything but the Carrillo Rods and is good for 13psi regularly, but I would not go over 15psi. The head / valves are really the only thing that has truly 3084 miles on it. All other components are basically around 1000 miles. Wasn’t using / burning oil. I have been using the Royal Purple XPR Extreme Racing Oil since turbo charging.

$2000 OBO +shipping from Reno, NV. I will leave as complete motor for awhile and if doesn’t sell will part out.

I also have an STM Primary & Secondary Clutch for sale.
