Having owned both and recently sold my TH to go bigger (xp4 1000 and kidadult quads) considering going back to a truck camper for a few reasons.

1. The toy hauler I would need to fit all this junk will be HUGE. We like to do more than camp at the dunes in camp grounds. Even those will be hard with a 35-38′ foot fifth wheel.

2. I have a 34 ton megacab. I will be overloaded with a trailer that big.

3. already have a flatbed.

So anyone go back to a truck camper? It will be cramped with our family for sure but we just sleep in the RV anyway. I could buy a new camper, looking at a Wolf Creek 840…for about half of the fifth wheel. We remote camp a lot…aka boondock.

Is this a mistake? It seems the trend with my friends is larger and larger trailers, fifth wheels and even diesel motorhomes. Seems almost insane but then again I didn’t blink at a 20k toy….lol.:rofl3:
