I just received a set of Tricled LED headlight halos. I decided to go with the white ones instead of the blue ones. I was going to quote some statistics on head on collisions but decided not to give the "anti-atv" folks more cannon fodder for their cause. I considered the colors and based my choice on the fact that we always ride with our headlights on. Being visible to oncoming vehicles is always an important issue to consider especially when riding in the woods. I decided to go with the white LED halos and wired them to the accessories terminal allowing them to be on whenever the ignition is on. Most of the new cars are being produced with daytime driving lights of which the majority are LED and white. The light rings came by US mail well packed and included two rings and enough wiring to reach the terminal strip on the firewall. There was also a switch, terminal connectors and some wire connectors. The rings come with 2 packets of alcohol swabs to clean the lens. The rings have a 3M automotive tape on the back which is the same adhesive tape that is used in the auto industry to attach the chrome trim and lettering on all the new autos. It peels off and you align the halo to the headlight lens and stick it on. I routed the wires along the frame and connected them together. The LED wiring is very small so I soldered them together and then spliced some 18ga. red and black wires that i attached the wire connector too. I was rather surprised at how bright they were. I took it out into the back yard in the dark to see how far they projected and found I see my storage building from over 200′ away with just the halo lights on. I believe they will work great for daytime driving lights and because of the white light will be visible in the trees from farther away than the yellow color of the stock headlights on the 900S or the other non-LED headlights used on other models. So if you are one of the guys running around in the woods, consider trying the Tricled headlight halos, white in color and you will not be sorry.
