While this might seem like a strange question, I was wondering if you guys can think of any tire brands that you know for a fact run small. I have an 86 TRX 250 and run 25×12.5×9 Bearclaws on the back with 21x7x10 Kenda Front Max on the front, and want to get something taller for the front for the sake of ground clearance. I have a set of 12" rims and was thinking about grabbing something for the front that fits this size of rim.
It seems like most tires nowadays (at least the more popular sizes) seem to be 25"+, however I don’t think I can fit any bigger than a 23" tall tire under the front of my bike without using spacers. 25" tall tires also seem to be cheaper here in Canada than their smaller sizes. Because of this I was wondering if anybody could think of any brands that run small (ie a 25x8x12 tire that measures closer to 23"/24" tall when mounted on the bike). I recall reading that Kenda used to run small (same with Maxxis? I think), however I don’t know if this is still the case or not. I’m open to whatever type of tread, but if i could pick it wouldn’t be too aggressive since these tires won’t be pawing at all.
Thanks!
