He folks i just want to do a quick write up / review of my personal experience with thunderhawk performance. First i would like to say that the company is very friendly harry spent the time to answer all my questions. I bought the voltage regulator and the gas tank skid plate protection parts for my 2014 rzr 1000. Shipping was fast and when i got the parts i was eager to install them. I had the parts powder coated black to match all the other bolts on’s for my rzr do to the fact that they only came in raw aluminum when i purchased mine. If you look in from behind the rear tires of your rzr you will see that the voltage regulator and the gas tank( thats made of plastic) are totally exposed > probably not an issue for those that only ride in sand, but for everyone else its prop worth the small investment. always worried about being in reverse and throwing rocks directly into the v/r or gas tank. as far as installation goes both parts were a breeze to install 1/2 hr per taking my time and no fitment issues with my ricochet off road skid plate system. The only mod i made was to pre drill an add a self tapping hex head screw to both parts where there was not one from the manufacturer to help with possible rattling against the frame. pics attached hope this help for many that might have been thinking about something like this.
