Sportsman 500 belt cover help

Hey this is my first post.
I’ll try not to type too much. Need some advice and suggestions please. I have found a lot of useful information on here.
Ok here’s my deal. I’ve got a 2013 sportsman 500 ho. Here recently I’ve been doing some creek riding with some guys I work with. After a while my belt will slip from water gettin in the belt housing so I drain it and then go on. Once it gets in it becomes easier and faster from then on. I’m not submerging my four wheeler but there’s deep places and water splashing and all that. Anyway I’ve been tinkering with this four wheeler and reading a lot and have learned from things . I’m not looking to snorkel mine right now but just looking to help keep it out of the belt housing right now. Snorkel won’t really fix my issue right now anyway. Well I kinda made a mistake and put the cart before the horse . I used a sealant on my belt cover and now I can’t get the cover off. I thought that would fix it but I should have tested it before that but I didn’t and I done it bass ackwards but that’s usually the way I learn and trial and error and the hard way but after that I figure it out good haha. Anyway I sealed it up and few days later I ended up filling it up with water hose at the intake . My sealant job Definetely worked good but water was coming out behind the primary clutch so I need to pull the cover and get the clutch off and seal all that . I want to do this right this time and do all of it and be done. First I need advice and suggestions on getting this cover back off. I’ve jerked And pulled and I can’t get it. Also once I do get it back on what silicone should I use that I won’t have so much trouble getting the cover off if I need to? I’m afraid I’m gonna have to cut it and rip it off and get a new cover .
Water was also coming out of the rubber boot that joins the belt housing to the intake pipe. I had it one there tight but noticed water came out of it so some suggestions on sealing that would be helpful. Silicone inside the rubber boot right before u slide it on???
I bought stuff to remove the clutch but that’s useless right now because I can’t get the cover off. I’m sure I’ll run into problems and questions there. Dealer wanted 150 dollars for puller And I spend less than 20 on few things to come up with my own. My plan is to reseal behind the primary and secondary and do it right and use the right stuff. Also want to seal the rubber boot we’ll And the cover but with something that’s not impossible to remove. Then I want to add a few things around the intake as to block water from splashing in it but also still breathe. I think I’ve got that figured out but first I need suggestions on just pulling this belt cover back off and what to use when I redo that part.
Help would be appreciated
Thanks
Sorry so long
