Replace 2002 660 Grizzly with 2014 550 or not?

Have an 02 Grizzly that I bought new at the end of June 2001 right after they came out. Great quad. Haven’t ridden a lot in the last 10 yrs since marriage and kids of course. Its got maybe 3100 miles on it. HMF exhaust, full factory a-arm guards, overfenders, aftermarket rims and Bear Claw HTRs. No problems mechanically.

A friend has a 2014 550 with EPS that would come with a 6’x9′ trailer. Its got under 100 miles on it and he wants $7500 for the lot.

My question, is this even worth entertaining? The EPS and trailer are what make it attractive, that and you could likely get it for $7000 if you walked up and showed cash I figure.

Mainly, I can sell what I have, I’m assuming swap wheels/tires over from one to the other (I’m guessing the backspacing is the same, or would hope I guess). And I know fuel injection and evolution over time have made smaller engines run better. (the 08 King Quad 450 EFI will attempt to hold its own with my carbureted 660 and its actually impressive to me for 200 CC less)

Would I lose anything from one to the next doing this? Gain power steering, gain the whole newer design with likely better ride/handling. I have no idea how the power of a fuel injected 550 compares to a 15 year old 660 though.
