Talked with them this am and they have them but do not plan to release to public but would sell to someone like Hunterworks with the following understanding.
I want to know if it would be worth us getting into it or not and want your feedback.
Talking with EPI this AM the reason they don’t want to release them to the public is, there is no guarantee these will last 50 miles or 5000 miles
They talk with Polaris and the reason Polaris does not sell these parts for the 1000 is, that if you need these parts the clutch is too worn and need a new clutch.
Without going into great detail of the whys I want to know this.
Would anyone buy a roller/button kit for $99 shipped to any lower 48 state with absolutely no warranty at all, you get the kit and it is yours end of subject.
Only reason I am interested is, I am think some people would be willing to try it to keep from buying a $450 clutch.
We will not be doing any installs either, just the kits if we decide to do this.
So based on the feedback I get from this post we may or may not sell them
EPI stated that the parts are not failing due to themselves it is the worn out clutches causing them to fail and the parts are getting blamed and simply not worth it to them to give them a bad name. I already know this is happening in the xp900 where you can buy those rollers from Polaris. Polaris is not planning on selling those parts on future clutches according to what I was told. Only time will tell.
Please give me feedback
