Need a few things as well as advice. This is the first quad I’ve ever owned so I need advice on weather to try to fix things or just buy used or new replacement parts.
First is the rear spindal on the left side.. the guy who owned it last put a nut that was slightly to big to hold the spindle on the axle.. therefore the threads are a little messed up… Is there a way to re-thread this? Or do I need to buy a new axle ? There is also some slop between the splines on the axle and the splines on the hub. I imagine its BC of being rode with a loose wheel.. is there a way to fix that or buy new or used as well??
Also I’m pretty sure the front A arms are not the factory ones there off a 400 in pretty sure and it has the ball joints stretched out and has a wobble to the front end when I hit a bump riding on the road. I figured I needed to buy factory 300 A arms but wanted some advice first ..
Oh yea I didn’t mention this but its most important. I am working with very limited funds. I have two small children and have the only income in our home. So anything that can be fabricated or "rigged" to work will have to work unless I absolutely need to buy new or used parts.
