My initial idea was to go with a wetsounds sound bar and then the sub between the seats. After researching a lot and looking at a lot of different set-ups I decided I could build my own and have a better set-up for cheaper. I have a $1000 budget so to do the Rev10 and a sub with amp I would be over. I looked at a top Sidexsideaudio made that i really liked. It was a 6-speaker over head unit that would allow room for me to chop my cage and still have head room. I would have bought theirs but apparently they are too busy to take my money so that inspired me to build my own. I mapped out an idea, drew it in autocad, cut it out, fitted it, and then traced it to the plywood after some minor tweaks.
I decided to build a 6 speaker overhead unit with a small marine radio that is bluetooth capable. It also has an aux. USB input so i can use a memory stick too if needed although i plan on primarily using my phone with bluetooth. For equipment I’m using Powerbass 6.5" coaxials, a Powerbass 5-channel amp, and the SSV glovebox sub box with a punch P1 sub. It might be a bit of a long build with a lot of changes as i go. Here are a few pictures of the start of my project.
