I purchased a used 13 xp4 900 that had low miles/hrs but the previous owner was a rancher and had a hitch on the back of it. First trip to the dunes it wouldnt rev beyond 7200. Ended up having a dirty dawg clutch installed right away by an experienced mechanic who knew what he was doing. After that machine would rap to 83-8400 but only for a second then it would drop to 7200. I could get 8200 again if i eased into the throttle but going WOT would send me back to 7200. Tore clutch down when i got home. Cleaned everything per forums guidance. Replaced belt. Went back to dealer and they checked throttle pos sensor. Polaris said check compression and leakdown but definitely no problem there! Not losing any oil but machine is now starting to do the same in low as well. Changed weights around on clutch with no change. I’m lost and need some direction!
