Took the RZR for the first "off-road" adventure last weekend and the front shock on the passenger side kept making a whistling sound upon compression and the front spring carriers kept banging around, causing me to feel concern that the shocks weren’t assembled correctly (air in the passenger side front shock?), and wished I had a radio to drown out the shock noise while on the ride… Need to make an appt with the dealer to have them look at the shocks.
Went out to start the RZR yesterday after sitting for a few days, and thought the engine was going to grenade sitting in my garage. Got online and started searching for what could have been the cause. Sounds like it’s the hydraulic cam tensioner for the timing chain… No obvious fix other than installing a manual chain tensioner.
WTF WAS I THINKING WHEN I BOUGHT THIS MACHINE??? I had a 2010 Robbie Gordon Edition RZR 4 and never had any issues. This is a brand new machine, and I’ve stumbled upon several apparently well documented issues that are unresolved. I can’t bare the thought of dropping it off at the dealership and having them tell me that most of my issues are "normal" and there is no immediate fix for them. I wish I’d done my homework a little better, but I ended up buying it after going for a ride with a few friends who own them and never noticed the issues when we were on the ride, and they didn’t mention any issues or problems. Am I being too picky in expecting too much out of Polaris to have better build quality for a $25K machine?
Feeling super depressed at the moment….:rm_thumbdown:
