Recently I was talking to and riding with a now "Minnesota Snow-Bird" (Retiree that lives in MN during summer months and Arizona during winter months, who was originally from the AZ area) and he claims that EPS isn’t an option that is usually selected for riding rocky trails in AZ. He stated something to the effect that it wasn’t useful as it grabbed and pulled the wheels/handle bars if a wheel caught a rock or crevasse. I wanted to call "Bull Sh@t", but haven’t ever ridin in the AZ conditions. I always thought one of the main reasons/point of having EPS was to aid the rider in controlling the handle bars, should a wheel snag a rock and try to pull/cock the bars??? Along with ease on the upper body muscles, ect…..
So please tell me….. IS THIS TRUE ABOUT NOT WANTING EPS IN AZ -or- INDEED PURE BULL SH@T ???
Thanks,
