I have 26" s/w mud lites on it now. Looking for something a little bigger and a little more aggressive. I don’t want outlaws or silverbacks, just something a little better in mud. After I do a gear reduction, what size tires can I run on it? Not doing a lift, don’t want the issues that go along with a SRA lift. Thanks.
Had some lug nut issues a few weeks ago while riding, and finally had the time to pull everything off. Replaced the stuff no issues, but looked at the rim and it’s a bit.. eek..
Not sure how much "ovaling" a rim can take before its garbage. Please let me know your opinions and/or facts about what it does to the rim, tire, stud, bearing etc.
The attached pictures are of the holes that are ovaled, these are all on ONE rim.
I’ve decided to go with the Maxxix Bighorns in size 26" (they run big) on my 2015 Rubicon. I am totally confused on matching tires with rims and could really use some help and explanation.
Here’s what I want and the numbers:
ITP SS112 wheel size options:
12×7
14×6
14×8
Maxxis Bighorn 26" tire rim size options:
12×9.5/12×7
14×7/14×7
15×7/15×8
If I wanted to go beyond the stock 12" size wheels…say…to the 14"….what size tire should I go with? I’m confused with what combos will work together. Would the 14×7 Bighorns work best with the ITP 14×8 or 14×6??
I’m guessing since there is no 15" ITP wheel option the 15" Bighorns are a no go?
I’m looking into upgrading to Maxxis Bighorns and I’m trying to decide between 26" or 27". I’d like to go with the largest option that will not put extra wear on parts/bearings/drive train. I don’t care if my top end is slower. Right now I’m running the stock 25".

Hey guys I have a bone stock honda 300 2wd. I’m starting my build off with new wheels and tires. I am ordering a custom wheel and tire setup off pure offroad. I know what tire sizes I want I am just stumped on wheel off set. I am getting 12 inch wheels and when your ordering wheels off that website there is a drop box that says wheel size and bolt pattern and offset and it names a bunch of options then one of the options is "I don’t know". So since I don’t know my offset for my fourwheeler that’s what I chose, beside the "I don’t know" it said sl chose machine below so I picked "honda solid rear axle". So my question is with me just picking that did it get the right offset I need for my fourwheeler? Thanks in advance!!
They have a person selling mud lites 25x8x12 and 25x10x12 about 2 hours away from for $100. They worn down and have about a 1/2 inch of tread on them.I’m not going to use them as my main set of tires but just a back up pair what are yalls opinions on them and is it worth it. I already have the stock tires do I need another set lol
