So I’m going to be getting my Holeshots refitted on a new pair of rear OEM wheels (originally had them mounted on the ones that came on the quad, but one’s bent) & am wondering who in here uses those rubber beads/shot as a way of balancing your wheels once rolling?
Are they really worth it to have them added inside of the tire at the tome of mounting? I’m up in the air on this as one of the OE tires had them, but the others don’t…I would have them added to the rear ones if they’re deemed necessary.
Trying to decided on tires between mud zilles maga mayhem or terminators was think bout 28s my only concern is can I turn the terminators and how good are zillas and mega mayhem in the mud

I know this isn’t primarily a picture forum, but I have to rave about the wheel and tire package I recently installed on my 2015 Rancher. I had a chance to ride yesterday, and it literally made a complete, 100%, 180-degree…however you describe it…change in handling, traction, and comfort.
I almost ordered a 25x8x12/25x10x12 STI HD + Maxxis Zilla package, but thankfully the order fell through with the retailer (not going to mention it here because I don’t like to throw stones). 🙂 What I ended up getting from Rocky Mountain ATV (much better shopping experience with RM) was the same wheel – STI HD Beadlock in matte black – but I opted instead for the ITP Mayhems in 26x9x12 (front) and 26x11x12 (rear).
What a difference! My Rancher handles much easier and at times I could swear I had power steering. If you’re wondering if the 26" wheels made a noticeable difference in available power (due to the heavier tire), the answer is no. In fact, because of the increase in stability and traction, I believe the power is much more efficiently applied to the ground. I could be wrong, but that’s the impression I got. Anyway, here’s how they look. 🙂
The first picture is the before shot, the other two are after. You’ll also notice a new Kawell light bar and a Kolpin cargo bag.
Hello all. Newbie here, with a particular question. I ordered a set of STI HD matte black beadlock 12" wheels wrapped in Maxxis Zilla 25"x8"12" front and 25"x10"x12" rear rubber from ATVDirect for my new 2015 Rancher w/IRS (FA5), but they didn’t mention anything about needing wheel spacers. I’ve been reading different things and seeing that they may be/will be required when changing wheels? Is this true or does it depend on the wheel and model ATV? Just wondering where to find the proper information on the proper wheel spacer if indeed I do need them. Been looking around on here and can’t find much on my specific model Rancher.
I think this is also called offset, but not sure what it means, how to measure it, etc. ATVDirect told me the 25" tires would fit without issue, so maybe I don’t need any spacers for offset?
After much research and debate I took a chance on a wheel/tire upgrade and got lucky, it fit! I can barely fit a credit card between the tires and warn front plow mount with the wheels at full turn (not joking). Ordered them threw rocky mountain atv and they were great, shipping was free and had them in 3 days. Here’s the package: 14" STI HD5 BEADLOCKS / 26/9 big horn 2’s up front / 26/11 big horn 2’s in the rear. If I can figure out how to post a pic I will..
Well guys and gals i just got my new alba racing beadlocks installed on the back of my 400ex. This makes 4 alba products on it now. Everything i have got from them has been great quality and built well. I havent ridden with the beadlocks yet but they were super easy to install and look to be built very strong. And they look bad*** if i do say so myself. What do yall think? And i will post more once i put them through the stress test this weekend.
