My brother has a 2006 TRX250ex that he bought a while ago bone stock. We were looking at putting some smaller tires on the rear, but because the bike has a driveshaft instead of the chain we cant change the sprockets to make up for speed loss on smaller tires. Is there any way to get more speed out of the bike if we bought some smaller tires with the driveshaft? Thanks!

More speed on TRX250ex with smaller tires?

1981 ATC 200 tires
I just recently got my old 1981 Honda atc 200 going. I remember now putting a smaller front sprocket on it back in the 80’s for towing trailer and just to make it slower in the rough terrain ( I think it was a 9 tooth?). I wont be using it for that anymore so was going to look for the original gear sprocket (11 tooth?) Its just to slow now for what I will be doing with it. Instead of gearing back up, are there larger tires available bigger than the 25" to fit on 9" wheels? I need new tires anyway. It would give more ground clearance and also bring the gearing up. Or, any other larger wheels that would fit. Maybe even newer wheel hubs and wheels that would fit on the original axle?
I’m just researching some possibility’s. I could just change the gearing back.

Tires for 05 300ex
Im looking to get new tires for my 2005 300ex. I think im going with Kenda k299 bear claws for the back but im not sure about the front. I ride about half on the trail and half mud/pit riding. The front stock tire size is 22x7x10 and i would like to keep that size. I found a pair of mud lite sp’s for a good price but im not sure if they are to aggressive for me. Do you think they would be alright? Or if you have any suggestions for a front tire, that would be great! Thanks!
