Toy Hauler Fuel Pump Issue

I have a 2005 Thor Fun Hauler 27′ toyhauler. I bought it used a couple weeks ago and am trying to get the fuel pump to run. Apparently, the previous owners didnt use the fuel station ever. My issue is I cant get the pump to come on. The switch is turned on in the trailer and on the pump and there is power at the switch. The fuse is fine. Directly connecting a battery to the pump will make the pump run so something is buggered between the pump and switch as there is no power at the pump.

One question i do have though is do you need to have fuel in the tank for the pump to run? The tank is bone dry and im not sure if the fuel level sensor needs fuel in the tank to "switch" power to the pump as some sort of safety mechanism? Any ideas?

To warranty or not?

I just put a deposit on a new Stellar 32KSG that will be delivered in about two weeks. They want $1500 for a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. Warranty covers the generator as well. I never really had any major issues with my old Weekend Warrior, but this doesn’t sound like a bad deal to me. What do you guys think?

Trailer ideas?

I’m thinking of having an enclosed snowmobile trailer built and I want to be able to put the rzr inside. I measure my rzr at 70" at the highest point. The finished height of the ceiling is projected to be just under 71". I plan to tie the rzr down with tire nets allowing the suspension of the rzr to move. I’m concerned about the roof hitting the ceiling. I could leave a section of ceiling out over the high point of the rzr roof between the crossmembers giving me about three inches, or I could lower the floor between the crossmembers for the rear wheels to sit in. I was wondering if there was some type of a tub that was available that I could weld or bolt in to cut down on fabrication. A quick google search didn’t turn anything up, but maybe I’m not using the fight term. The third option is have the trailer built with a roof that’s six inches taller. It’s only 2-3 hundred for the higher roof but I’d like to keep it as short as possible. Thought about a beaver tail but I’m not sure that would put the rzr in the right spot for weight distribuition on a 14+5 V nose trailer. I also don’t want to decrease ground clearance at the back of the trailer.

Truck camper vs. toyhauler

Having owned both and recently sold my TH to go bigger (xp4 1000 and kidadult quads) considering going back to a truck camper for a few reasons.

1. The toy hauler I would need to fit all this junk will be HUGE. We like to do more than camp at the dunes in camp grounds. Even those will be hard with a 35-38′ foot fifth wheel.

2. I have a 34 ton megacab. I will be overloaded with a trailer that big.

3. already have a flatbed.

So anyone go back to a truck camper? It will be cramped with our family for sure but we just sleep in the RV anyway. I could buy a new camper, looking at a Wolf Creek 840…for about half of the fifth wheel. We remote camp a lot…aka boondock.

Is this a mistake? It seems the trend with my friends is larger and larger trailers, fifth wheels and even diesel motorhomes. Seems almost insane but then again I didn’t blink at a 20k toy….lol.:rofl3:

413 keystone fusion vs. 2014 f250 6.7

I need some opinions on whether or not this trailer would be too much for my truck. Im looking at the Fusion 413 model. 13ft 6 inch garage. weighs 14680 empty. GVWR is 19k I believe. My truck is a 2014 f250 diesel single axle with a 4 inch lift, helper bags, and 35’s. GVWR on the 5th wheel on the truck is rated at 16,500 "legally" but I’m sure it will pull way more than that. Any thoughts?
