Tie down rzr in new toy hauler

Was hoping I could get some help tying down my rzr in my new toy hauler. Unfortunately when I load it all of the front tie down rings are under it and one of the rear ones is under the tire ( see photos). I can’t seem to find anything to tie it down to in the front that is strong on the rzr. Anyone else ever have this problem? I guess the best solution would just be to add a few tie down rings to the trailer? Attachment 147323Attachment 147324Attachment 147325Attachment 147326

Aluminum Deck Tie-Downs

Bought an Aluma 7712H, but want to use wheel bonnets with it. It look like having the tie-downs in-line with the tire centerline is the way to go. I thought about an aluminum track system from Mac, but $$$.

Anywho, I was concerned with putting recessed steel/zinc tie downs against the aluminum deck and getting corrosion from dissimilar metals. Had anyone done this? Does it matter? Are there alum. options? The only other thing I could think of was using some RTV gasket maker gunk between the plate/backing plate and the trailer deck?

Thanks All

Flatbed

Does anybody use a bigger flat bed to haul the toys and still pull a travel trailer behind it?

My wife and I love our current camper and don’t want to get a toy hauler. I also don’t want to pull doubles so I’m thinking about a 4 door flatbed F250 or something with a 12-14′ bed.

Child proof my onan generator button — any suggestions?

Hey Guys — So for whatever reason in my rage’n toy hauler.. they put the generator button low enough to where a kid can reach it.. (my 1 yr old sees the orange light and thinks oooo let me push that button). As much as I can yell at him till he’s old enough to understand.. I’d prefer to put some sort of cover over it.. any suggestions ?

I looked for thermostat covers..but the ones i’ve found are just too big… I’m ok even swapping for a different switch altogether that would work too..

thanks in advance

Another 1/2 Ton Towable thread

Hey everyone. A couple years back, I asked you all about going big. I.e. Buying a diesel and a 36′ monster 5th. But I just can’t justify it.

Here are the facts: I’m keeping my ’06 1/2 ton Chevy, looking hard at the eclipse (attitude/stellar/iconic) 19 footers and stuffing a 1000 XP4 in there (God willing). I DO already have a brake controller. I used to tow a 2300FS weekend warrior with 2-3 dirt bikes and filled water tank with this truck. It struggled a little bit on steep climbs, but that was it. Brakes, shifting, trans temp all were fine. I do understand 3 dirt bikes are probably half the weight of a 4 seater, but the 2300fs is substantially heavier than a 19 footer.

This will put me right below my towing limit, and yes, I understand the dangers of towing overloaded and what not. I do understand the dangers and limitations of the truck. Hence these questions:

1) I have 3.42 gears f&r. Should I change these?
2) should I forgo the onboard genny to save any weight and go with a portable?
3) I’m assuming rear airbags are a must here

Let me know what you all think on ways to improve this situation.

(Removing my gas cap and driving a diesel under it is not an option, btw[emoji41])

THANKS
