Fixing camper water damage?

Anyone have opinions on buying water damaged trailers?

I found a triple axle toy hauler for pretty darn cheap, but it has a LOT of water damage in the nose portion. Its a bumper pull WW toy hauler and it looks like the siding has opened up on both sides of the front of the trailer. The owner says the front bedroom probably needs to be completely pulled out for inspection. Sounds like quite a bit of woodwork.

Its a fiberglass shell and probably has stick framing and plywood. I would probably need to pull all the wood out and start fresh – studs and OBS. The fiberglass shell looks good but i would need to pull it back in and reseal it.

Any opinions would be appreciated. This might be a good opportunity to go from camping in my car hauler.

Toy hauler puck light questions

I’m doing a toy hauler conversion and I’m having a tough time making a decision on the LED 12v puck lights that I need. Does anyone have any recommendations? So far, I’m thinking a 3-4" soft white puck light would be a good choice but I’m not sure how powerful they will need to be. Any help is appreciated!!

Exhuast Brake for 7.3 PS. Who’s got them and what kind

As much as I would love a new dually its just not gonna happen in the next couple of years. I love my F250 7.3, pulls like an animal but the brakes are the weak link now that we have our 39′ toy hauler.

Been looking at adding an exhaust brake and today spoke to one of the top diesel dogs in our area and he said the best one for my truck would be a PacBrake PRXB. He said he’s run US Gear, Banks and others and this is by far the best one he has run on his 7.3

Before I drop 2k on a unit and install just curious who is running exhaust brake on a 7.3 Powerstroke

Genesis Supreme vs Others

We’re in the market for new hauler and I’m looking really hard at the Genesis Supreme. Has anyone had any experience with their haulers? Their build quality seems nice, but they are a fairly new company and I can’t find any real reviews on the internet either way.

I called the factory yesterday and they said they are doing a 2 year warranty right now because they are that confident in their product, but does anyone have any real world experience?

Aluminum Enclosed Trailer Recommendation

I am in the middle of researching a new 7.5 x 16 vnose trailer. I started looking at the steel trailers out of South Georgia and the reviews are less than stellar. So I am leaning toward an Aluminum out of Indiana or midwest. I am going to add 12" to height and some options. Does anyone have any recommendation as to the best price and service to buy? Is any mfg. sell direct? Is it better to go through a dealer?

Thanks in advance.
