6.7 vs 7.3, keep or sell

I know, I know, this sounds like a poll.

What I am really looking for is some advice. Currently Have a 2002 F250 XLT with 7.3l and 217,000 miles. Also have a 2007 Eclipse Attitude Toy Hauler.

Truck is in the shop right now, fuel pressure regulator let go and took an injector with it, when they bench tested 1 came back bad and the other 7 are marginal. Second gear on the trans is slowly going, and the AC sometimes stops working. To fix all 8 injectors, ford factory rebuilt trans, new AC compressor/condenser, and a fan clutch is total of $9900. To fix JUST the one injector, labor in diagnosis and the fuel pressure regulator is $3300. Around this area sounds like we can get $10-12K on a trade for it with just $3300 to get it running/driving.

Other facts: we have turbo that has never been touched, mechanic says he can hear bearings rattle at high rpm, thinks we have year. HP oil pump was new 2007-so probably wont last forever. Water pump wont last forever. other items of wear…??? Front axle has vacuum leak, we have to put 4×4 in manually. Old transfer case, old axles.

Alternatively, we can get a low mile 2013-2014 6.7 F250 XLT for $40,000-ish. This would be a truck with 40,000 or less miles.

Would a new truck be a better tower? We are towing 13,000 in trailer, truck and trailer on cat scales is 20,000 lbs on the dot. Afraid we are killing the 7.3L.

What would you do? Spend $10k and fix the truck and drive it till it drops? Cut our losses and go with a new one? Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

5ft wheel Toy hauler lift kit or flipped axles?

Any of you guys have experience flipping the axles on a 5th wheel toy hauler? Mine is 13ft 10in tall (2014 eclipse attitude 31crsg), but I would like to get a few more inches to make the trailer more level on the truck and to gain a tad bit more ground clearance but don’t want to mess the center of gravity up too much and make the trailer feel tippy going over camp sites on forest service roads. What do you guys think?

Sierra with 6″ lift looking for toy hauler to fit 15 XP41K

I have a Denali 2500 HD Duramax with a 6" lift on it (So unless I flip axles on the TH I’ll have to get a bumper pull no 5’er, Not sure still new to these). I’m needing it to fit a 15 XP41K possibly a kids 100CC quad would be nice too if not it’ll fit in the bed of the truck. What models are out there worth gandering on. This would be our first TH or Camper for that matter. Main thing is that it will fit the 4 seater

transferring trailer title without the owner/pink!

I live in so cal if that changes the laws a bit.
So a friend of a friend gave me a trailer. Upgraded to a bigger one and just a few weeks ago realized that I never got the pink slip for the old one.
And I have not seen the owner in over 4 years and have not been able to track him down.
The trailer has been in my property for over 4 years now

I know his full name can I just sign for him?(power of attorney or something)

Or will the dmv transfer the title to me if he does not claim it after certain time?

And no it’s not stolen lol I verified that already.

Thanks for the help

BREAKS: How many miles are you all getting on your breaks on your tow vehicles

I just got my Duramax back from service

I had ask to have my breaks checked

They told me I had at least half their life left

I have 235,000 miles on the original set breaks, most of the miles are pulling a trailer of some kind

I had over 200,000 miles on my 4 runner when I had the breaks replaced and I was told they did not need to be replace yet

I think dealers just like to tell people that they need new breaks even if not needed.

Because it is one thing most people can’t check on their own and the dealers pull the SAFETY card
