moab trip

me and a group of friends are trying to plan a trip to moab. we are from indiana and have no idea where to stay, what trails to ride on. i’d like a place to stay that is close to the riding area, like a house, hotel, not a camp ground. we aren’t pulling toyhaulers out there. i dont want to get up and drive 30 miles unless i have to. also where can i get a map of the trails out there. we are used to riding at parks that have maps, places to stay etc. there will be 5 or 6 utvs going with the wives in the passenger seats. any help you guys give will be greatly appreciated because we are kind of lost at this moment.

Street legal in Colorado

I have done some research on this topic. 2 bills were introduced in the house this year regarding ohv licensing to drive on county roads. After many revisions, HB 15-1054 was postponed indefinitely. Thus effectively ‘killing’ it for this legislative session. However it was sponsored by house member Brown

HB 15- 1329 sponsored by Brown of the house again but also house rep Court, and Donovan and Roberts of the Colorado senate. This bill was postponed indefinitely as well. It was proposed to create a task force to study the impacts of UTV and Atv on county roadways.

I’d say lets contact these members and thank them, offer our support and see what we can do to help

Devils Punch Bowl Lead King Loop 8-12

Small group of us doing Devils PB to Lead King Loop and on to Marble. Lunch at Slow Groovin BBQ, the food is great and the prices are very reasonable. Most likely we’ll make a run up Whitehouse mountain after lunch, good views of Marble Mountain, Sheep Mountain and the town of Crystal if we can make it all the way up. I think the top is around 13,800 feet. Head back through the town of Crystal (the mill is here) and on back to the Crested Butte side. Once back, we’re going to make a run up the North Pole Basin.
We will be meeting at 10am on the 12th where the 4×4 only signs are in Schofield. If anyone wants more info, feel free to ask.

Heading to Pismo – Looking for some help

I am headed to Pismo on Thursday and was wondering if someone has some info to help me out. I will be leaving from El Centro and headed up the 210 to the 101 basically. Hit he 101 just south of Santa Barbara. Looking for somewhere to fill up with water in like Santa Maria or somewhere like that so I don’t have to haul all that weight all the way up. Then looking for a dump station somewhere in the way home or up? Any help would be great.

Anyone know trails near Crested Butte / Lake Irwin and or South Fork?

Were heading up mid August and going to stay in and around lake Irwin for a few days. My buddy knows the area fairly well but not from a trail sense, we will probably spend a day at Cement Creek but haven’t done any of the trails in CB area. We will end our trip in the South Fork area and spend the last few days there, I have heard there are good trails there just dont know where. A co-worker stopped at Treasure Falls on his way to Montana a few weeks ago and that place looks amazing.

Thanks for all the help!
