PolarisATVforums Management Changes

Greetings,

My name is Phil, I work for VerticalScope.com, the same group that runs ATV .com. VerticalScope recently acquired polarisatvforums.com and will be taking over the management duties of the forum. Your familiar moderator and admin team will be the same people helping with the day to day forum management. We will primarily manage the technical functions of the site and support the mod team. Maintaining continuity as well as the spirit of the site is important to us. This means that little about the site will change for you the user while we continue to grow the community.

Over the next few days you will notice me on the site and as well as members of our support team. While we get to know the landscape of the forum and how things work will will be on hand to answer questions and get to know the unique needs of this community.

I will be working closely with the Admin/Mod team on ways we can help improve the order of things here and raise the level of your experience on polarisatvforums.com.

If you have questions please let me know, I will do my best to answer you all as quickly and thoroughly as I can.

-Philip

Should commercial sellers post in threads try to sell to those that require parts or

I have noticed from time to time that there are replies in threads from commercial sellers and/or sponsors soliciting business from those who clearly will need parts or repairs.

My question to the group is; do we want this kind of interaction within the forum? I want to be clear that I neither oppose or support the issue as far who and what is being offered. I see merit to both sides. However some may feel strongly about this issue so I wanted to put it out there as to if this is appropriate to the board as whole?

There has been problems with spam posts that most of us are aware of, and I am not suggesting this issue be considered in the same light. But should those in the business of repairing and selling parts and accessories decide to change their marketing strategies, we could see a marked increase in the number of posts and replies.

Any other opinions out there?
