2015 EFI Muzzy Intake Help (pics)

Hey guys, this is my first post here on this forum, and I was hoping I could get some help with my sons 170.

It’s a 2015 EFI. I bought the Muzzy intake and exhaust. The intake is suppose to be for the 2015 w/Fuel Injection. I’ve put on plenty of intakes over the years on my various cars and trucks, but this is my first one on a SXS, and I had a few questions because the Muzzy instructions aren’t that helpful.

First being, where does the breather filter go? It’s a crank case breather, so does it just go right onto the engine, etc?

If so, what do I do with the other end (the top on this pic) of the hose? Do I just leave it be, or cap it somehow?

Secondly, there is a sensor or bung of some kind that came out of the stock intake tube. There is no place to insert this on the Muzzy intake. So what do I do here? Just leave it hanging?

And also notice that other tube in my hand as well. I’m not sure what I’m suppose to do with this, as it also came off the stock intake tube as well (but in a different position, closer to the air box).

Any help that anyone could give, would be much appreciated.

Steering gear – Polaris saga continues

Well, the 170 continues to be the biggest piece of **** that has ever sat in my garage. Took my 8 yr. old out yesterday to ride it for a few minutes and he got into a small mud hole with the front tires. Started to back up and the machine wouldn’t stop. Even after he let off the throttle it kept going in reverse. He was smart enough to turn the key off and stop it. I looked it over and didn’t see any sticks caught under the pedal or linkages. Started it back up and it seemed to be OK.

Rode for a few more minutes and I heard popping noises. Took it home and looked it over in the garage and noticed that the steering gear box housing is broken and is allowing the shaft to move around. :rollfinger: Checked Amazon for a replacement and it’s $460 bucks. WTF??

Polaris has never been known for quality but this is really p***ing me off. These things sell for $4k or more when new and they are nothing but Chinese junk.

Does anybody know where to get steering boxes for a lower price? I need to get this thing back together so I can sell this POS.

Rzr 170 vs. Outlaw 110????

Hi guys, I am new to this forum as this my 1st post. My name is Chris from Indiana. I have 2 young kids (boy-10 girl-8).
I have been reading on here for awhile now researching the rzr170. We just sold a Yamaha PW50 & Yamaha yz50g. Kids have previous experience with 4-wheelers but are wanting a Rzr170. My question is do you think they would be better off with Outlaw 110’s or a Rzr? I really don’t want to make the jump to the 570 yet nor am I interested in one of the foreign ones. Thanks for your help in advance.
