I have been thinking about doing this for a long time and finally ordered the cage. It arrived the other day like a big jigsaw puzzle. So far everything is fitting up really nice. The cage is all tacked together and this morning I will start welding.
I just bought my first Rzr. It is a 2016 Rzr xp 1000 and I was wondering how well the factory roll cage holds up. I want to change it out soon if I decide to because I want to change it while everything is still straight for easier install.
Yesterday I purchased Bend Tech and am going to start working on a cage and rear bumper for my 2010 800 50 inch later I Wil make a front bumper for it but I want to make a 6 point cage that comes back to the bumper. I have seen someone post a way to take the pick points for the mount points of the cage my question is can anybody explain thare way of doing it? My plan is to take a laser on a fixed point and start using that to measure from it will be like the tri star in bend tech. Or does it need to be like a rail the runs the length of the rzr that a lzr can sit on and you would take numbers from that point somehow making that rail square to the rzr. But square to what because the cage is all you would really be worried about right? Sorry for all the questions and I don’t expect this to happen over night I’m just trying to get a direction.
I am looking to do a bed delete on my 900XP. Trying to gather up some ideas, so any pics, thoughts etc would be greatly appreciated. Don’t care if it’s a 1000, 800, 900 and so on. My plans are to remove the factory bed but still have tie downs for a small cooler or what not.
Im trying to sell my hot ride 4u cage on my 2008 rzr 800. I was wondering if anyone has this cage and able to tell me what the wall thickness of the tubing is. I had someone call and ask. I have checked the hot ride 4u website and it seems as if there out of business. Any insight would be appreciated. Nick
