Ok as anyone that’s read my post I’ve wrote we all know I’m new to this style of quads. My question is do you guys ride in high or low gear when you’re in the trails? I would’ve swore I heard riding in high gear at a slower speed does something to the transmission? I’ve only put 1.3 miles on the quad just few trips on the road playing with both gears and seeing how they feel. I was watching my rpms and low gear obviously spike the rpms quick, to me low gear in the trails will strain the motor. So info on this will be great as well. Thanks for all the info so far.

I’ve seen some people have this..( ogio storage ) … is it good enough to use as a cooler to hold some drinks and ice? Does it leak is it solid. I won’t be in deep water or nasty thick mud but I’m looking for a good solid storage again looking to use it to hold drinks and ice.
Went by one of the local shops this morning to poke around and see what they had. After talking to the rep for awhile and what not he did a search and said there wasn’t meany around this area …. long story short I guess this one came in this morning and well now it’s in my garage. Now it’s break in time and just hope I can control myself and not over ride it. Going to do some searching before I ask questions but I’ll be back in a bit I’m sure with some questions.
Lately my scrambler feels like it takes a lot of rpms to get moving from a dead stop, especially in reverse. I have to idle it to about 2500 rpms to get it going and once it does it almost jumps into the gear, its not smooth at all. It just started doing this after i had a new belt installed. First few days it was fine but now after about a good 40 mile ride with some aggressive riding it seems like something is wrong. Any ideas? Also i did break in the new belt how they described me to do so.
There could have been a big problem. I swapped out the factory plugs Autolite 5682 for a set of NGK NGK ILZKAR7A10 plugs a while back. Last couple short rides my quad has been running rough and seeming like it lost a little power so today I pulled my plugs only to find the front plug bent almost to the electrode. I looked in and could see indents in the carbon on top of the piston. Long story short after measuring the best I could it appears that the NGK plug has a longer ground strap by about 1.5-2 mm. I thought that the reach determined that but that is only for the thread length. Put the stock plugs in and went out and did a bunch of top speed runs then pulled the plugs again and all appears good:wiggle:
Hey there I got a 2014 Polaris scrambler 1000 with about 300m on it and the starter went. Starter that is on it has 11 teeth any one know if the old starter off the 850 with 12 teeth will work, Polaris says that it will work but usually different number of teeth doesn’t work thanks
