– love the efi, starts and idles great.
– 15mph timing retard is really like 8 mph. My 7 year old who has been riding a 50 since 3 1/2 is going to have to have it with the limiter off, he is just going to have to learn throttle control. I am going to have to stay after him to make sure he is riding under control.
– going to have to get a brush guard. Plastic will be tore up if I do not.
Can anyone tell me the part # for the throttle limiting screw, from the schematics it looks like 0451788 but it’s hard to tell and should also be a jam nut there right? Both are missing on the one I bought
Also, is there an aftermarket kill switch/tether for the rear of the quad so I can run behind him and pull it if needed? I have seen the ones for the 2 strokes but not the 4 stroke
Hey, I have a 2008 outlaw 450 mxr, it runs like a champ for 5-10 minutes, but once it is hot it loses spark, and won’t start again until its cooled off. I’m not 100% sure what the problem is but I suspect its the stator. Any advise, or help would be greatly appreciated.
My son has a outlaw 50 and he had rolled it the other day and there was gear oil in the air box . I went to check it but there is no dip stick or sight glass

So do we have any new owners yet? My kids believe they need ATV’s ever since I sold their older 50’s (they grew out of them). I know, I know… punish me now.
EFI? So no pulling the choke out?
29 miles per hour? How fast did the 90cc go?
This should really shake out the other brands now because everyone else is still sitting at 90cc if I am not mistaken. I don’t believe any are EFI either.
Does anybody have a service manual In pdf form for a 2008 Outlaw 90 they can send me? Mainly for the cvt and transmission areas, but the whole thing will do. Maybe a sportman 90 cvt is similar so I think that would work as well. Thanks!!
So I just purchased an 08 525 IRS w/ a blown motor. Everything else is in great shape. My friend who will be doing the work already owns an 06 500 IRS and an 08 525 IRS.
The motor was already torn down and my questions are these: if I need a new cylinder, head, crank, rod, piston etc… Are these all available retail still? Also if I need all of that the cost will appear to be comparable to buying the THUMPER 549 kit. Would that be a wise option as well. I’m really more interested in reliability than power as the stock ktm has all the power I need but thought if the price is similar it’s worth the upgrade. Any tips/advice would be appreciated.
