I am trying to find a replacement ecu for my Dad’s 2003 Magnum 330. The OEM ECU is # 4010684 which seem to no longer exist. I have heard that ECU # 4010944 will work. Can anyone confirm this for me before my Dad spends another $200 trying to fix his quad? Is there anything that needs to be changed for the new ECU to work? Thanks for any help.
New to the forums here. Just got a 425 magnum that needs to be rebuilt. I cant find any kits anywhere online for it. What do you guys do when its time to rebuild a 425 and where do you buy the parts;
sleeve/jug
gaskets
bearings
rings
and anything else. I’m really just looking for a complete kit to do this.
So I broke down the front end and replaced the A-Arm bushings, spacers and shaft. Left side went smooth then when I was changing the right side I hit it just right The handlebars turned left and the 4 WD drive shaft pulled out of position on the right inside the rubber boot.:banghead::banghead: I was able to get it back in without breaking the front end down. BUT< and it’s a big BUT>, when I took it for a test drive Every so often the bike "pops, bumps, thunks" what ever you want to call it and pulls to the right for a split second.
I went out tonight to take a second ride and the steering was in a bind, I pulled it to the right, it freed up but I am still concerned about it. When I am traveling full speed up the road its fine, when I slow down the PoP comes back. It seems maybe to be like a wind up toy going to far then release and start over again
Should I breake down the front end an re-assemble or is there a better way?
I have a 1995 425 Magnum that I picked up off craigslist. I had to clean the carb and replace the starter motor and bendix and it was running again. But now I can’t shift gears when the motor is running. The shifting feels ok when the motor is off, but after you turn it on it feels like something will break before it will shift.

Hey everyone, thanks for taking a look at this. I just bought a used 98 magnum 425 4×4 and realized that I needed to replace the petcock. While I had it open I did a rebuild on the carburetor. (I had at one point unscrewed the throttle cable and worry I might have adjusted it wrong.) I put it back together and it ran bad for a couple of minutes while fuel burned off. Then it ran really well for 10 minutes (first time it ran without choke.) I turned it off and put the plastic back on. I turned it back on and it ran really high (as if I was really cranking the gas) then died and won’t restart. The starter sounds like it is going but it won’t start (just kind of wumps.) Any thoughts on what I might have done, or what I can do to fix it?

Newbie here. Hello all! I’ve got a 2000 Magnum 325 4×4 that has been in barn for far too long. Life gets in the way sometimes. Anyway, my kiddos and I started working on it yesterday. Plan of attack is fuel system, oil service and battery. What’s best way to clean inside of gas tank? Gonna change out all fuel lines and inline filter. What about the fuel pump, is it safe to run carb cleaner through it? There’s a lot of stuff to remove to get to carb (lol).

Hey guys. I just got this magnum and the rear axle had been swapped out with a sportsman 6×6 (entire thing. Swing arm and all) found a new set of wheels to fit. Since the originals wouldnt. My main question is the quad is quite sluggish but has amazing top end speed. Could this be maybe a difference in gear ratio’s? The belt and clutch are new so I know it’s Not slipping. Also when sitting in neutral the engine runs great but seems sluggish revving. The Carb had Ben rebuilt before I purchased it. I’m just couriouse because I also have a 300ex Honda and revving wise its at red line quick long before the Polaris even thinks about being red lined. Any advise would be helpful. Thank you.
