Popping out of Forward Gear

2000 Polaris 325 Magnum 4×4.

Recently, while riding, we’ve had the gear shift pop out of forward (high) and into neutral. The problem seemed to start out small, but has gotten progressively worse. It is now at the point that it will go into gear, but as soon as throttle is applied, it jumps into N.

I’ve tried adjusting the linkage with no luck, and have no idea what to look at, or to do next.

Any ideas? TIA.

Am I being unreasonable

I purchased a used bike from my local dealer 95 425 magnum it broke down after the first 1.5 km took it back they said they are fixing it for free it has now been 5 weeks and I’m getting a little impatient

Rear Axle Leak

I have a 2001 325 magnum 4×4 with a fluid leak around the rear axle. I’m not exactly sure what I’m looking at or what’s bad, more than likely a seal? I don’t know what I need to take apart to fix it. It’s leaking between the steel sleeve around the axle and the rubber seal. This is not my pic but same rear end. Thanks a lot for your help.

425 Magnum-2 issues

I have a 96 or 97 model 425 2WD. It is in good condition, and I have owned if for about 12 years. I recently rebuilt the carb and replaced the fuel pump. The engine starts very easily, but under large throttle openings, it runs lean. I covered part of he snorkel opening (about 20%), and it runs very well. It idles and accelerates and runs on top end, too. I have checked out the entire intake system and don’t see anything wrong. All connections are good, the filter mount isn’t broken. I can’t understand why it is running lean.

Also, when it’s idling, it will die for no reason, and then it starts up instantly. Idle is smooth, with no surging. Every time it dies, it restarts immediately with no hesitation.

Any ideas?

Magnum carburetor and alignment steering problem. 2 issues

I have a 98 magnum 425 4×4 and when the handle bars are parallel with the front end the tires are turned a bit off to the side. Is this an tie rod alignment issue or is there a way to take the steering shaft and loosen it up and turn it to the correct position and then retighten it? I loosen the bolts at the top of the shaft and pulled up the key and choke holder to get he gas tank out so not sure if that’s what caused it.

My second issue is the bottom of the carburetor has the bleed screw and its dripping from it. I pulled be old one because I seen it was leaking when the gas was on. It was severely rusted and the tip was missed shaped so I bought a new bleeder screw. I installed it and when the gas is on it still drips a bit. What would cause this? Does that assembly do two purposes where it’s a bleeder to flush the system and then also have a tall tube inside the pan that acts like an overflow that’s always open so if the carb lets too much gas in then it goes out that tube? Or is it that the opening for the screw is just shot and looked like the old bleeder screw tip? The quad is running fine. Starts on a dime. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason
