Rockzilla install for xp4 900
I have a 2012 xp4 900 with highlifter a arms. I need to install a rackzilla steering rack and penion. I have looked at youtube and can not find anything on installing on a rzr or anything similar. There is a lot of of videos for cars. I think that this is probably pretty easy but I am old and not much of a mechanic. I am working with a floor jack. If somebody could point me to a good video it would be a lot of help.
Bear creek trail riding.
Are the trails at bear creek to tight for a RZR 800s. Would a polaris ACE 325 be better suited for these trails?
Really liking the new 01
Fit and finish is the best Polaris has ever done and its a fun ride !
General Wheels
As I recall the General comes with 14" wheels from the factory and they look pretty slick. Anyone know what the offset is yet? Might be just the wheel the 900/1000s folks are looking for.
Got a demo model at work!
Like the title says we got a demo at dealer I work at. Very nice machine. The interior is a lot nicer than anything Polaris has put out to date. Polaris is going to sell a ton of these machines.
General Suspension
just wondering how the suspension is on them?? I see the orange one has fox shocks. was wondering if the blue one has good shocks or some cheap stiff shocks? kinda like the blue one..I have a rzrs 800 with fox shocks and love the ride but really want something with a bed.. I hope the ride is as good as my rzrs or better.. what you guys think??
Polaris Reliability?
I have a 14 Teryx2. I put 3,000 miles on in the first year. The only thing I have done besides lubricants and air filter is a fuel filter and check valves. Very reliable. Noisey drive train. 8" of not real good suspension. Hate the 50mph limiter. Only 55 hp. 160 mile max fuel range. I live and ride in NE NV. 1000s of miles of old two tracks. Most mountains than any state. I live at 5700′ I ride at 10,000 much of the summer. I don’t do mud or sand or deep water. I am a 62 year old one legged guy that can’t walk out.
I felt the Pioneer had near zero storage. I felt the ergos for my long legs and prosthetic were no improvement over the Teryx. The real plus is the DCT. I have read some not so positive remarks on suspension. I’ll take a bath on my Teryx and I don’t know if the Pioneer is the answer? The new General ticks my ride, suspension, ergos, and handling boxes. I worry about engine reliability and belt life?I don’t expect to get the same belt life, but it is much easier to change than the Teryx. I read a lot of issues with Polaris warranty and the extended warranty. By the time riding season is here, my warranty would be nearly used up. Can an old guy who rides a lot be happy in the Polaris camp?
