Hand brake for Polaris trail boss 250 1991

Hi – I have had this quad for 5 months now.. replaced the starter, taken the clutch apart and just finished replacing the front brake calipers and bleeding the brakes. Its a nice but rough quad but I use it every day –

I would first of all like to thank you all for helping me along the way. Without this forum I would not be using my quad at all.

but now all is going well and I can actually stop with brakes coming down my hills I need to know – WHERE THE HECK IS THE HAND BRAKE? ?? I have to carry a wedge of wood with me so if I stop on an incline I can throw it under a wheel.. but sometimes this leave me in very precarious positions… How do people ‘park’ their 1991 trail boss 4X4 quads please? and why is the foot brake so small? – I am a woman with small feet and its dinky even for me.. has anyone modified one? – to add an extension perhaps?

I do love my quad but now there is nothing left to fix I have started to wonder…..:hmmm:

how to check gearbox oil in an outlaw 50

My son has an outlaw 50 he had rolled it the other day and the gear oil was in the air box so I want to top it off but I’m not sure on how much to add because there is no site glass or dip stick so I asked a tech at my local dealer and he could not give me a straight answer any help would be appreciated.

Ranger XP900 – Removing OEM A-ARM Guards

Hi, I recently picked up a new 2015 ranger 900XP. Saaaweet machine. I just bought the upgraded a-arm guards. Just went to install the fronts and the first step of instructions state to screw off the existing small OEM guard. The thing seems to be bolted in with steel pins (no screw tops) that I cannot figure out how to remove. Anyone encounter this? Seems simple but this steel pin is strong and tight and not budging.
