Hello all. I purchased a Can Am outlander 450 L a couple of weeks ago. I know a lot of people who ride Can Am so I decided to go with the 450. No regrets so far. Has plenty of power for what I needed. Mostly just wanted a quad to ride trails with the wife and kids. My son has a Polaris predator 50. And my wife has a Kawasaki prairie 360. Now that my wife has ridden the Can Am I usually get stuck with the crappy suspension on the Kawasaki. Being a brand new model I know this is a long shot but are there any performance mods yet? Does the gosh I pipe from can am fit this model? Anyway I thought I would introduce myself. And any mods that anybody knows of would be great.
Hey y’all! New to the can am world and I didn’t realize what I’ve been missing till now! I’ve had Hondas and brutes! And ain’t no way I’ll ever own any other bike again. I have fallen in love with the power and how easy it is to maintenance my (new to me) bike. Only had it a month! 2007 outlander max xt 800! 2600 miles and has been pretty much babied. Reason for joining is I want to learn as much as I can about my gen1 . So I’m gonna start with this; only question I have so far is what can I do to stop the slight miss my bike has. It back fires 1 time when I crank it. And the rpms fluctuate from like 1250 to about 14 or 1500 rpms. Its a steady missfire. So I’m guessing it’s a pretty quick fix. Spark plugs, wires, fuel filter etc… Any help would be appreciated! Glad to become apart of this family!
Unfortunately, the 2 dealers close to me here in Alaska seem to believe charging almost $1000 over MSRP will make them money. And I have heard nothing good about service or their price for it. There are other dealers in the state that I would deal with, but they are 5-6 hours away. So I’ll not buy a Can Am. I like my Grizzly but need another atv and wanted a V-twin.
There is a lot of good info/people on this forum and it has been very helpful in my search. Thanks for all the help!!!
