New Member from Phoenix East Valley

I actually joined last fall but just now digging into the forums. I bought a used 2010 RZR 4 800 last fall and have been having a blast on it. Winter time is perfect because there are a number of trails within 10-15 minutes of home. I’m still trying to figure out where to go in the summer months other than 2 hours away up into the white mountains. Any recommendations?

The past couple of days I decided to do the annual maintenance and change out all the oil, spark plugs, belt (this is what brought on the desire to do all of this, the belt was slipping) and lube everything, the forums were a huge help. I’m by no means a mechanic but I do feel fairly competent when it comes to basic servicing and repairs. Well, $250, 10 hours and 1600 mg of ibuprofen later everything is replaced except for the front gearcase (stripped the fill plug when trying to open it) and the rear gearcase (actually switched the fluid out but when I was torquing the fill plug back on, it broke into two pieces…not sure I believe the manual torque recommendations). Anyway, that was a lot more involved than I expected it to be, especially having to pull the whole back off to change out the spark plugs (I have a spare mounted on the back along with a storage box)…not to mention the extreme heat I was working in. On the plus side, I probably lost 5 lbs due to sweat. Next time should probably only take 2-3 hours as long as I don’t have to switch out the belt and spark plugs). Are the newer models easier to do the routine maintenance on?

Anyway, that’s me. Not many performance mods on my RZR but a fair share of comfort mods including stereo, Rigid Industries LED lighting and I did put a bench in the back seat (part of the reason it is tougher to get to the oil/spark plugs…) and a bump seat in the front so it actually fits the whole family with seating for 6 and harnesses for 6 (my youngest two are small daughters so it works at the moment).

New 2015 900s

I’m new to the forum and rzr world. Came from 5 years of Harley ownership. Love the new toy. J-strong top on the day I bought it and have a 30 inch light bar on the way.

New member!

Just joined the forum today! I have a new 2015 XP 1000 EPS and took it out this past weekend for the first time. I had a 2013 800S which I traded for the new rig. I absolutely love RZR’s and hope to use the new one quite a bit this summer. I live in Colorado so most of my riding is on trails in the mountains – we do have a few sand dunes which will let me experience the full potential of the new 1000! I had to take it back to the dealer as soon as we got home – strange noise in the drivetrain. Dealer says it is coming from the front diff and that the noise will go away after 50-75 hours. The noise only happens when I am in High (no noise in Low) so I’m not sure I buy the dealer’s explanation. I have read several posts about front-end noise on the 1000 but haven’t found any that talk about the noise only happening in High. Anyone else having this same experience?

Central Florida newbie razor addict

I just picked up my razor xp1000 this past Monday and am going to start the break-in thus Friday and Saturday. I traded a scrambler 1000 for this bad boy and can’t wait to get out there to the trails.
I’ve been reading, searching, reading and searching the old threads for info on our utv . So I’ll save all the questions for later after the break-in.
Thanks to everyone for posting the good info and reviews.

Southern Oregon RZR

Just bought my 1st RZR. I got a 2010 RZR 800s with 1200 miles, I have been wanting a RZR for years and am very excited to own one. I’ve taken it to the North Bend Sand dunes and it was very impressive. I’m 25 years old, and we own a towing company and car lot in Grants Pass, OR. Any one want to meet and ride sometime just let me know. I’m willing to ride anywhere, sand, mud, rocks, woods, anything that the RZR is built to tackle. I plan on little mods for the 800s; I have full pro armor doors already, a hard top, full windshield and a ready ride dry box. I want a front bumper, winch, and led light bar. Also looking at getting some nice 4-point harnesses. Thanks for adding me into the RZR community.

Greetings from Utah!

New to the SxS world, but have been an avid ATV (straddle type) rider since 2004. I’ve gone through 5 ATV’s in these past few years and generally rack up about 12,000 miles per machine within 3 years.

Recently, I sort-of inherited what I believe to be a 2009 RZR 900. It has no labels or anything, so I’m not certain exactly what it is. I do know its supercharged and likely turbo’d too. It also has some sort of after market performance tuner and a digital data logger mounted above the steering wheel.

I’m here to learn a bit about this machine and possibly share my knowledge of trails in/around Utah and Nevada.

Here’s the machine, btw:

New with 900XP Turbo

Hi.

I`m 26 y.o from Norway, and this is my first RZR.

Before the RZR i had this road legal Suzuki LT-R450 wich i built from stock to Supermoto.

I got a little bit tired of the supermoto, wanted to go more offroad and have the ability to have passengers. And i fell in love with SxS. But they costs a bunch when they are road legal. And that was my first demand, it needed to be road legal.

After saving some cash i was near buying a 08` RZR 800, then i found a 13` Canam Commander 1000. While talking to the Canam owner, i found this RZR Turbo. And i really like turbos. The RZR turbo was the most expencive one, so i had to try push the price down. And it went very good.

So then i became owner of a road legal 2013 Polaris RZR 900XP EPS Walker Evans with turbokit installed by the dealer, with warranty.

Upgrades, and add-ons:
MCX Turbokit
Carillo rods
Stronger valve springs
UMP intake box
Full windscreen
Pro Armor full cab
Pro Armor doors
Pro Armor front bumper
Polaris storage box

And that was pretty much it..

– Just saying, i am damn happy ending up with a RZR insted of a Canam!!!
A lot of it because of the fantastic help from my dealer. They give me, and others help 24/7. I love them.

Well, i got the RZR home, drove around beeing happy in the ice cold weather in december/january.

Then it became "boring" to drive, too cold, and something was always missing. So then started the big upgrade sessions.

After shitloads of cash, upgrades and customizing, i am here.

MCX Turbokit
Carillo Rods
Stronger valve springs
Dynojet PCV
Dynojet Wideband 2
Dynojet LCD-300
UMP Intake box, Apexi pre-filter with waterproof outerwears.
RaceTech Boost gauge
SuperATV High clearance, forward offset A-arms
MSA M12 Diesel on BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain 235/75-15
API Magnetic clutch weights
Turbo primary and secondary springs
Custom Helix

Other:

Trailer hitch
Full windscreen
Pro Armor full Cab
Pro Armor Doors
Pro Armor Front bumper
Pro Armor 3 inch, 5 point harnesses
Dragonfire Snap-off/Quickrelease hub
OMP Deep Dish steering wheel
Brite LED Tech 30" Ledbar
Rigid Industries 12" Ledbar
Polaris storage box
Motoalliance Cab Heater
+++++

Now im about to mount PCV, waiting on a MAP sensor.
My clutches are at my dealer for inspection & service.

When i get the clutches and the MAP sensor, i will start remapping the engine.
