Hello From CO

Howdy all! Just brought home a 2016 900 EPS Trail. So far, the only "mod" is a Polaris roof.

Took it on its maiden voyage to the Divide OHV area west of Colorado Springs yesterday. I’ve ridden the area many times on my ATVs (which I just sold) so I was excited to see how the 50" RZR would handle 717 and some of the other aggressive narrow trails.

I’m extremely happy to report that the RZR was phenomenal! On one banked corner with a tree on both sides, I had to have my riding buddy help push on the roll cage since it was banked into the inside tree. Gunned it a bit and got around the corner. I now have my first "battle scars" so no more worries about keeping it pristine.

I was very happy with the stock ride. Much better than I expected and I’ll probably leave the suspension alone for the time being. I should also note that my stock rear tires measured just under 52" wide so I was concerned about getting through the gates for the 50" trails. Fortunately, the narrowest gates I encountered were 53" so it was not a problem.

Back to lurk mode and accessory research for me…

Newbie from WA state.

Hello new friends.

Here is my story. Wondering how many others share it. Wife and I spend a week on the Oregon/NoCal coast while there I made what will turn out to be a costly decision….rented a 900xp from Steve’s for an hour and it took a lot less than that time to say " I have GOT to HAVE one of THESE". Normally I do not have emotional may I even say a little irresponsible thoughts….well I didn’t think I did.

Wife had so much fun she green lighted the idea (she needs to exercise better control). So the researching to understanding to purchasing time was well, in a word….short.

So I am the proud new owner of a a used (108 mi/9.5hr) 2014 1000XP Black Pearl Edition with a lot of added accessories. Winch with remote up front and a spare tire in the rear, storage, 6pt harnesses, lower doors, AL roof, rear plex and front glass windshield with electric wiper. It had NO SCRATCHES!

So off to the store today to get a helmet and spare belt….$$$ more and stopped by the State and helped them build a new bridge 🙁 . So I am broke and going to the blood bank tomorrow so I can buy gas.

FYI I was able to get a new 2015 cooling kit (includes belt) for a little more than the belt alone.

New from Ky

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. As the title says I’m from the Northern Kentucky area. Rode four wheelers growing up and moved on to a straight axle S10 blazer I built. It didn’t ride smooth enough for the wife. So now we are on to our new Rzr 900S. She loves it, and I have to say after adjusting the preload on the rear shocks I love it too. Very fun to drive! Hope to see you out on the trails!

New to Polaris

Well, I took the plunge, wife wanted a rzr so sold my rail buggy, her and my atv’s, hers 02 400ex, mine 05 660r, and found a 2015 900 s, with 24 hours on it, low 300 miles, add ons are front/back bumpers, rock sliders, roof, Half windshield, winch; bought it yesterday! 🙂 The guy I bought it from is buying the 16 1000 s, 🙂

So, if I may, i’m looking to you guys for guidance on what to do, I’ve read a bunch, 🙂 gonna be careful with air filter, 🙂 read many of your tech guides, but any guidance I will gladly take even if I may of read it. 🙂 Getting ready to service it, oils, grease, etc.

I ride woods in KS and MO but we go to LS in OK, twice a year.

Looking forward to enjoying an awesome ride!

Entering the UTV World

For a long time i’ve been huge into rockcrawling. I have a built old 4runner with a lexus motor in it, most my buddies also have jeeps or toyota built rockcrawlers. But i’m getting more and more into the UTV and RZR scene and I just want to know everything about them! Why people like certain models or why they don’t like some. And all the stuff that is customizable about them and people favorite modifications they’ve made to theirs.

New guy

I’m new to the rzr world but I’ve been enjoying every minute of it. I live in central Alabama and we ride most weekends. I’ve always ridden four wheelers and never sat in a rzr until I purchased this one. I’ve searched through threads and already found a ton of helpful info. I guess I’ll need another job to help pay for all the parts I want. Thanks for having me!:
