Ready for trails in Colorado

My wife and I picked up our orange beast yesterday afternoon. It’s a new 2014 model. The dealer, Mike at Hi-Country in Norwood Colorado, was great to deal with. I have some chores to do today and tomorrow, but we’ll be exploring the trails around Ouray on Sunday.

The test ride sold me quick. The suspension was smooth and the engine ran very strong. That together with stunning looks and we came back to the showroom ready to cut a deal.

New From Nebraska

Hello, Just joined the forum this evening. I just purchased my 1st SXS this evening. Should be picking it up on Monday next week but I am really looking forward to this. I’m picking up a 16 RZR XP1000 EPS in the Titanium Matte Metallic. Already looking at a few things to dress it up and can wait to start giving her a go. Traded in a 13 Yamaha Grizzly 700. Have (2) more ATV’s that we’ll more than likely also trade in for another SXS.

I look forward to getting some input from your guys on many things I’m sure

Mike

Hello from Iowa

Joined in July, but have spent most of my time lurking while I was building up my 900xc. I’ve rode motorcycles and snowmobiles for many years (I’m 58), but had to give up dirt bikes due to back problems. So far I’m lovin’ it! We can ride gravel roads around here, and I also ride at Gypsum City OHV Park in Fort Dodge.

Heaven on Earth

I have been playing with some type of wheeler my whole life. Anything off road gets me excited.

My wife claimed my JK and finally let me get a RZR. She think we will save money because JK parts cost more than RZR parts. 😎 I have one Boy thats almost 3 years old and his favorite thing is Rock Bouncers and RZR. My son owns all the Busted knuckle DVD’s. I honestly think I died years ago and I am living in heaven..

Hey All!!!!

Just bought my First ever Polaris!!!
I have been riding A/C Snowmobiles for 25 yrs and then
moved over to Ski-Doo in 2003 when the REV came out.
But in the atv department been riding Yamaha Grizz’s.
So about a year ago I started looking at SxS’s and here is what I came up with.
Looked and tried all brands and the Polaris RZR S 900 came up to be the best for me.
The Wildcat was to small in the leg room.
Honda well….. Honda good Machines but if I wanted a Tractor…….
Yamaha about the same as the Honda but that they came out with the YXZ well to spendy for me…..
Can Am nice Machines but seem to have to much for Electronics for me and high priced for what you get so here I am.
Got my 2015 RZR S 900 for 14,137 out the door including Tax so how did I do?
And to say I’m from Northern Wisconsin so A big hello to you all!!!

Pursuit of Happiness

What a adventure.
I have had a lot of dirt bikes, quads, ATCs 4x4s and do most of my own work.

That said, trying to get the right UTV/SideXSide is becoming a real chore.

I bought a 2008 700FI Rhino this weekend got it home Monday and as I am backing it off the trailer the rear axle pops out. I called the guy whom I bought it from and told him I wanted my money back. This baby was loaded. Good buy.

Long story short, I got my money back, but I had to really apply pressure on the guy. Hadn’t been for my determination and the fact that his dad tried to fix the axle in the first place I may be stuck with a POS or a Money pit.

I live in the far east valley of Phoenix Gold Canyon, and we have VERY rocky trail out by me and I need a rig that will take a pounding in the desert.
So any help from the locals would be much appreciated.

Now my search begins.

I am looking for the PERFECT RZR which is what I wanted in the first place.

Would like a 1000 but will probably go 900. I think I will get more bang for my buck.

I am discovering like Jeep owners, RZR owner think their rigs are made of gold and are work millions.

So I come seeking knowledge and the best bang for my buck. :redrzr:

New to the Site

Hello, My name is Meng and I am from the Northeast Heights area of Albuquerque. I bought my 2015 RZR XP 1000 about 5 months ago and I have enjoyed taking it out to the Rio Puerco area. I am here to learn more about RZRs, how to take care of them, and the trails in the area and outside of the state.

New Member as of May- lurked a while before posting.

Been duning for a couple decades, and offloading bikes and quads my whole like with my share of both lame and killer sand cars. I grew up in the midwest and we had it all sleds, cars, tractors, bikes you name it – if it burns gasoline I mod run and customize it and have probably already had one blown it up and taken it apart.

Im usually hanging out with or helping the Lavey Craft guys as Ive been a close friend and boat customer since the early 90’s.

I have 2 boats a 30ft offshore V hull with Dodge viper V10 mill, and a 21ft tunnel Im shoehorning a 588 big block into this fall. (blew up the small block in April this year)

An RV a toyhauler and 2 quads a raptor 700, and a FKX 450 as well as a YZ250.

I get to ride in and use the RZR 1000 XP 4 the guys built up to showcase their body kit, as well as a Mazda turbo rail.

I go by Uncle Dave over at Offshore only, Riverdaves Place, Performance boats and everywhere else I frequent so I can be looked up or reached for comment under the same name everywhere.

Cool site you guys have, good to be a part of it.
