Hello all,
We just received our ’16 570 LE yesterday. Cool as heck.
I had a street legal kit put on it, for rural/farm use & up in the hills connecting roads.
We traded in our ’12 Polaris 550 X2 atv for it. The X2 is a fine machine in its own right.
We hope our RZR works as well (plow & pulling a work trailer) as the X2 did.
Looking to do more recreation with this Polaris.
We will do some small mods of course ;-). Looking forward to it.
I have a lot to learn here in the community!
Cheers
Me and one of my buddies bought the new 2016 rzr turbo from separate dealers, and we both have overheating problems, went to the dunes and both overheated on every ride multiple times, temps reaching 225-231, temp light coming on and putting us into limp mode. The other day, went on a ride and ever heated multiple times again.. Anyone else having these problems?
I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 2015 RZR XP4 1000. I am loving this thing, and having fun driving on any trail I can find.
I wanted to get beadlock wheels, and my dealer had a smoking deal on MSA 14" VICE beadlocks, and 32" Mongrel tires.
The new tires leave me wondering if I need to install a clutch kit with the 32" tires. I asked the dealer, and they said that the stock clutch will turn the 32" tires just fine.
The primary places I will be driving is on trails, and rock crawling.
Does anyone have thoughts on running 32" tires with a stock clutch?
Just want to say hello to all out there. I’m a mechanic on an offshore platform positioned off the coast of Sakhalin island of Eastern Russia (just north of Japan) I live in North Dakota and work a 4 weeks on and 4 off. I’m out on the platform now.
I’m a beginner to the UTV thing. I have just made the decision to buy a RZR when i get home Dec 12. Looking for as much advice i can get from all you experienced guys so i know i’m buying the right one and know how to spec it out.
Thanks in advance and it’s great to be a part of this group!!!

Hey everybody, I live in Texas just north of Houston and I am looking to purchase either a 1000XP or a 1000XPT in the next few weeks. I have never owned a side by side or UTV. My last ATV was a 2004 grizzly when 28" Outlaws were the biggest tire out. LOL
I have found Abernathys is way cheaper than anybody around my area when it comes to purchase. what i would like to know if someone from Texas has bought a RZR or UTV and been able to title in Texas? Is it just the 6.25% sales tax or some other fees from the state? How much of a PITA is this?
Also i see the 1000XPT has a completely improved drive line to the 1000XP. I will be mainly using this to run mud and trails. Is the XPT worth the extra 5000 dollars it cost when not running dunes?
Bought a fairly heavily modded used 570 about a month ago. Been lurking for a while and finally signed up. Previous owner had it setup for mudding. I’m planning on more rock crawling than mudding so I have added harnesses, rock lights and swapped the mudders for big horns. Full skid plate and rock sliders next. Figured I’d start out with a cheap one to be sure we are gonna use it before investing in the 1000 4 I really want. Really enjoying it so far.
Just picked up my 2016 RZR 1000 XP from Abernathy’s. The last RZR i rode was an in 2008, and it was an 800. This machine is wicked can’t wait to get it out and about this summer. Have family in Whitehall (near SLSD) and also around West Branch.
