SSV works overhead system modification???

So I finally got home for some days off and started looking into the SSV works overhead system I bought for my XP1K. Before I received this system I noticed that it has a 50×4 amp. If you read the description on the two speaker add on it says it uses the other half of the 4 channel amp that is in the main 4 speaker system. So I had to open this thing up and see how it was wired and whatnot…. They have 2 speakers running off one channel and 2 speakers running off another channel leaving 2 channels of the 4 channel amp unhooked and not being used. I don’t plan on ever adding the 2 speaker add on. Has anyone ever changed up the wiring in one of these overhead systems so you have 50 watts going to each of the 4 speakers? the back of the speaker says "100 watts handling power" so i’m guessing that’s 100 watts max. Does not say what the RMS of the speaker is. Maybe Greg can chime in and answer that? Just looking for some input on this mod:popcorn:

Wet Sounds Rev10’s – Video

For those that haven’t heard these. Here’s a video. Most video’s don’t give a good representation of sound quality, dynamics, loudness, bass, etc – but I think this is about as close as you can get.

Notice in the very first second of the video, the RZR is driving away and you can hear it. Then on the drive back, take note of the midbass from the 10" drivers.

THIS RZR HAS 2 SPEAKERS ON IT! 2 speakers. No more, no less. You can see out the front, you can see out the roof, and you can’t hit your head on them.

The rest of the system is a Wet Sounds BT-VC bluetooth interface, Wet Sounds HT4 (the smallest recommended amp), and the Rev10’s with swivel clamps.

Let me know if the video doesn’t show up.

Heretic Studio Wraith Light Bar

Looking to get some real world feedback on the Heretic Studio Wraith Light Bar.

I’m running their headlights and happy with them, but not sure how the light bars perform. I’m currently running the Rigid 10" E2 light bar and looking to get rid of this and go with the Heretic 10" bar. I know it won’t be as bright as its single row, but I’ll be adding their new "dually" style lights they just released on top of this 10" on my bumper.

My biggest concern is retaining the light distance that I get from the Hyperspot light of the E2. Does the Heretic Spot have the power of the Rigid Hyperspot? I know Heretic will let you configure spot vs flood?? So thinking of doing 4 Spots and 6 Flood.

I’ll likely be adding the radius Wraith light as well in their 30" setup. Price I feel is pretty good and style is top notch. Both pointless if light output isn’t applied correctly with good reflectors/lens.

Looking To Buy My First Light Bar -Opinions Please!

I recently purchased a new XP1000. Now the fun begins choosing from the endless mods you can add on. I went with a EMP roof, Pro Armor Skids, and a SSV stereo. The next thing on the list is a light bar. I will mount it on the roof. I couldn’t tell you how much night riding I will do based on the whole 3.5 hours I have put on the machine so far. My budget is probably around 600-1000. If I was going to pull the trigger right now I would most likely buy the Rigid 30 inch ……..but only because someone I know has one and really likes it. So my question is what does everyone like / not like??? Any opinions would be much appreciated! Side note, I am really not a big fan of the larger bars but I also understand that the smaller ones probably will not put out the light the larger bars will.

Slight power delay after whip install?

This is very strange but I have a slight power delivery delay when I start my XP1K. The reason I know this due to the ever so slight delay of the digital read out on the speedo. The digital read out takes about half a second to show up. This only started once I installed my lighted whips. It is kind of annoying as the whips come on each and every time I start the machine. Not sure why this happens either? I have to physically turn them off with the remote. They are not supposed to do this? We installed a set on my friends rig the exact same way with no power delay? His stay off till the power button is pushed on the remote. Just like it should work. Everything is fused and runs thru a separate block just exactly like my friends rig. Battery is showing 14V and voltage regulator appears to be working correctly. What am I missing?

Thinking of adding the whips to a dash mounted switch anyway but should not have to. Thanks I advance for any insight. SM
