680 flimmering in display when hot

Hey ;o)

I have a 2014 TRX680 and after 30-40 minutes of hard Work, pulling a sickle mower or my Kunz Rough Cutter, it starts doing weird stuff:

The green light for 4*4 blinks
The gear indicator doesn´t show which gear I´m in
The ESP indicator blinks
When in gear it pulls, normally it sits still until you push the throttle, but it will not hold still in either reverse or drive.
The speedometer shows all kind of numbers, it´s flimmering between 0 and 50 kmt/h.
Sometimes when I change from neutral to forward or reverse it stalls.
All in all the hole display acts up and I have to wait for it to cool of.

This continues for 3-7 minutes until it cools down, and then it goes on like nothing ever happened 🙁

I have tried to attach a video, but can´t…. if interested I can send it to a mail.

Any ideas?????

I looked through most off the post in here but I can´t find anything like this problem.

Rincon vs Grizzly

I own a 2004 Rincon and a 2006 Griz. Is it just me or is the Yamaha a superior ride and power pkg compared to the Rincon? I ride the Honda and it works ya steering wise and the yammiedoes not. The Honda is a 650 and the yammy a 650.

2004 rincon 650 transmission problem?

hi everybody, i have a 2004 rincon 650 and just recently it started having this problem. When riding in either auto or esp the neutral light will flash and moments later ESP will start blinking on the dash. when this happens it will idle just fine but as soon as you give it any throttle it will bog and die and then will not start again until you turn the key off and then back on. I’m stumped on this one and don’t even know where to start any ideas would be greatly appreciated. anyone else have this problem I’ve looked around and can’t find any threats with the same symptoms.

rincon wheel alignment

can someone pls tell me what the service manual specs for wheel alignment
on a 2009 680 Rincon. now does real world experience dictate different than the book specs??? I,m building a simple tool to adjust atv toe in. will post pic,s
when completed. TIA

my rincon now has power steering

where to start?? it,s fairly well made kit with some junk parts thrown in. the old adage " the devil is in the details". the bottom shaft did not have a beveled
edge . u will damage the seal without that beveled edge.

the motor mount needed mega grinding to clear the brake line. I had to bend
the brake line as well.

the right hand motor mount bracket was not even close to fitting so I made one.

I bolted it above the winch rely where I tied in for power. no sense in going all the way back to the battery when I got power right handy.

the wiring harness. now this takes the cake. the real cheap inline 40 amp
fuse holder was only a few inches from the plug that goes in to the ECU.
the ECU is mounted behind the inner front wheel fender . that fuse is a long way from the power source. old school ios mount the fuse as close the the power source as possible. I bought a sealed fuse holder with a bolt on bracket
at auto parts plus for a few bucks..

now how does it work??? it,s fantastic on the trail. I put 100 KMs on it today
and usaly I get a burning pain in my neck but not today. now on the road.
it,s way to easy. it needs a switch to cut the power at high speed. if u look sideways, that’s where your heading. 55 KMs is my max comfy speed now.
another thing, the little LED light that tells u the power steering is working
is wired 2 inches from the plug in the ECU which is behind the inner fender .
all in all , the sales clerk was real nice the shipping to Canada was painless,
but they got to realize that like a chain , it,s only as strong as it,s weakest
link. rant over

400 hrs on the bike, started running hot a few weeks back( hot warning light coming on and overflow of coolant). I pulled the thermostat and checked it,seemed to take quite awhile before vernatherm would open so I did and old outboard trick and cut out the vernatherm and put the stat body back in. Noticed it ran hot this afternoon. Coolant is toped off,radiator core clean as can be,is it time to install a water pump? is it a big job?

2014 honda rincon in limp mode

I recently sunk my rincon 680 and when I got it out it stopped shifting I took it to the dealer and had them look at it and they said it was just water in the oil so they flushed out the engine and it costed me $500. When I got it home I took it for a ride and it still wasn’t shifting. Has anybody had this happen to them and if so what did you do to fix it?
