Thanks guys! I appreciate the help!

Months ago, just before the snow hit, I posted up some questions regarding engine braking and how mine didn’t seem quite right.

I got a lot of advice and although I had to wait out the snows (needed to plow) and some early spring projects, I finally completed the job today with the help of a friend.

New one way bearing, EPI purple spring, 1.5mm shim, and a new No Toil air filter done today.

I do notice a difference in the low end with the shim.
Haven’t been out to ride any hills for engine braking test yet. We are planning a trip to Attica (Badlands) IN, in the near future.:peace:

Thanks again to everyone who contributed information!

Receiver Hitch

Hi guys new to the site and have a question for you. I have a 2009 grizzly 350 4×4 automatic with a single rear shock, and have been looking for a 2 inch receiver. I’ve looked all over the net and at my local dealer and haven’t had any luck so far. If anyone could help find one or if you have the same four wheeler and bought a receiver or made your own I’d love to see it Thanks

Yamaha chrome stick’em letters?

Just got my brand new grizzly home the other day. I took it out that day to break it in,and took it out today for some putting around with my son. Hit a few puddles and got her all dirty,so when I got home I rinsed it off,as I was toweling it off I seen thing on my floor board. I picked it up and it was my Yamaha chrome stick’em letters, like 3 of them just came off,and it looks like the rest of them aint far behind.
Not a big deal, but it did kinda bum me out,I didnt even spray it up that high,I must have just brushed the towel over it. I was just wondering if this is common? Like I said its not a big deal, but I assume they would stay on there longer that 2 hours of use.
Also I only got one key with the grizzly, should I have gotten two from the dealership?
Other than that,Im really happy with it and getting ready to give it its first oil change and do some more riding sunday!

Grizzly atv lift/ramp ideas

Just did a service on my atv. Kind of sucked lying on the garage floor under the machine to change fluids and it was a fight to put back on the twisted skid plates (the worst part). I was thinking of making a drive up platform with openings to allow for fluid changes. I don’t mind being on the floor, but if I had more arm room to work it would make life better. Has anyone built one or seen one. Any ideas would be great.

New or Used Grizzly, 700 or 550?

Just purchased a 2014 700 EPS and had it out on Burning Rock in WV. Trails were great and grizzly did superb. Now I am looking for another. Son soon to be 16 and wife thinks it would be good if we had 2. I was looking for a used rig, but anything decent is close to a new one. Was thinking about other brands, but keep coming back to Yamaha as being best for me. Just got a quote for a 2015. Very close to what I paid for my 2014 4 months ago. MY question is for beginners and intermediates I was thinking of a 550, but keep coming back to another 700 and possible use the speed limiter until Jr gets better on the ATV. Has anyone used the speed limiter? And I think somewhere along the way my daughters will want to ride too. Anyone have similar experience? Will mostly ride in WV and some in PA. Thanks in advance – Kevin

2009 yamaha grizzly 550 brake issue

:cussing::cussing:
Was changing brake pads on the 550 the other day and after I put them in I pumped the lever several times to close the calipers and bring pressure up. Well I heard a pop and have no rear brakes. Funny thing is no fluid leak. Is this probably a caliper seal or master cylinder ???
Any input from those that have experienced similar is greatly appreciated
Thanx:gcrules:
