I have been ATV researching for about a year now and had narrowed my pick to a 450 EPS Grizzly. Have been pricing them out recently and been quoted $7200-7400 out the door for a 2014 450 EPS, which I thought was reasonable. Well this past weekend I was with a couple of buddies looking for parts for one of their quads, when we stopped by a dealer. As we are walking around and window shopping we noticed a 700 EPS Grizzly sitting there. It was red and looked brand new and my buddies were saying what a beast that is. I had seen the 700’s and never even thought about one because I personally didn’t need or want anything bigger than a 450.
Well as we were walking out and half ass chatting with the sales guy about the Grizzly, he says " that’s the best deal he’s got going on the floor" says its a 2008 EPS, 196 miles & 22 hrs asking $5500. As you can imagine all of us stooped in our tracks and were like WHAT!
Damn thing was practically brand new, a few scuffs here and there, still had nipples on tires….I had no intention of buying a quad but after doing the math, $7400 brand new 450 or barely broken in 700 for $5500….needless to say, I’m the new owner of a 700 Grizzly!
Have a guy who wants to sell a really nice condition grizzly 600 it has had all the berrings replaced and serviced every year. Just has been sitting in a shed for almost 3 years so he wants to sell it. It runs great and has a winch and OK tires on it. I have him talked down to 1500$. And i would like to know if this is a good deal or not.

Just checked the Yamaha website and saw this, the new 2016 Grizzly. It does not have the 2000cc supra motor we all wanted but they put the new 708cc in it so at least they are moving forward. The thing I like most is that they finally put some decent looking wheels on it!! Overall it looks pretty good. At least we are getting some change.

If you are wondering what the difference is between the 2016 Grizzly and Kodiak models, as I was since the specs look almost identical, check out this link:
Well I’ve been a Grizzly rider since I got my 2005 660 SE. Currently have about 6k miles on it. I really want something with more power, so I’m jumping ship and ordering a 2016 Can Am Outlander DPS1000. I’d stick with Yamaha, but I can’t figure out why they don’t make a 1000 Grizzly. Yamaha has some pretty cool engines, but they won’t put them in their ATV’s. The 1050 triple from the Nytro snowmobile might make an awesome atv engine.
