I took a test ride tonight after work. I can ride out of my driveway to the Pike National Forest and access 120 miles of trails…not to shabby!
I think the CDI makes a difference, it seems to rev faster and run smoother. The reverse limiter and diff-lock limiter are gone, which is nice.
I’ve got this thing just where I want it. It pulls hard from 0-40 mph and doesn’t over-rev. If I’m running 15 mph and punch it….it pulls hard to 40 and then starts to drop off. I spend very little time above 40 mph, so this is perfect.
Ridin’ the shit out of it for 18.5 miles….I only put a gallon of fuel in it….pretty good!
Hello everyone,
New member hear and glad to be part of the website. I have been a lurker for awhile and have found a lot of very useful information from the site.
I have an 02′ 660 and had noticed the rear differential clicking when torque is applied. I had tightened up the bolts on several occasions, but it was a short fix. Finally, I decided to rip it apart before there was any significant damage done to the drive train.
Initially, my plan was to have the aluminum sleeved because I figured the holes had been wallowed out, but once I finally got it all pulled out, I found a crack and a piece of the aluminum missing on the nut end of the front mounting bolt.
My question is – can this still be fixed by sleeving the hole? Or do I need to buy a new differential and replace the old? Everything else seems to be in good working order. If it needs to be replaced, any ideas where people are getting theirs? I have no interest in buying a used one and moving all of the gears over. I just don’t have the time for that big of a project.
I tried to post some pictures, but you have to have 10 posts in order to post them. I can forward if someone would like to post them?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

New to the forum and was looking for advice. My riding buddies and I have decided to sell our race quads and get 4x4s. Currently my buddies have Polaris sportsmans..an 850,570 and a 500. I’m looking at 2 quads right now. A 2014 grizzly 450 with 65 miles and a 2014 sportsman 570 with 40 miles. We are all in our mid 30’s and I was wondering if the 450 will be able to hang with the other quads and if the 450 is good for adults. Thanks in advance
Hi I have 2012 grizz 700
I was messing with pod and d01 is saying 77 at full throttle. What would the problem be. I know at full throttle it should be 95 to 100 i think
This has really good reviews on Amazon, people say it makes a difference in performance, we’ll see. It gets rid of the limiters as well, which will be nice.
Just picked up 2010 700, this being my second 4 wheeler and this being purchased with almost 1900 miles.
My worry is when I engine brake there is SOMETIMES an awful squeal coming from under my arse. It’s almost a dry squeal, yet not a grinding source.
I did the cvt roller clean and lube and new belt hoping that when I opened the clutch I would find a dirty and neglected cvt assembly but as it turned out it appeared to be recently serviced, no dirt and all greased and belt new.
I’m just wondering what this squeal may be..
only upon decelaeation, engine braking…
Thanks. And btw, my first atv was a Polaris 500 ho and thus far I am loyal to no one, but the cvt sure is cool on this one.

I didnt think the new grizzly and kodiak would be here till august but i was at my dealer today and they had a kodiak on the floor and a whole stack of them and grizzlies in crates ready to put together. The kodiak is smaller than the 550 but bigger than the 450.
