I’ve been dealing with a problem on my 11 700 for a bit now and remember reading another thread with the same problem, but can’t find it.
Basically, when turning hard to the right, the throttle cable seems to tighten and increase throttle input. Usually when still somewhat cold, it will return to normal after straightening out, but when warm, it doesn’t want to return to normal. Also, the machine likes to, when warm, increase idle all on its own. This has made changing gears when you’ve run it for a while difficult since I must shut it off to shift since its idling to fast. Blipping the throttle to loosen the cable rarely helps. Is this an airbox issue where its not returning to normal and sticking? I’ve got stock handlebars and have played with handlebar angle and the throttle cable isn’t stretched or tight.
I’m stuck as I am wanting a new grizzly 700 eps, my problem is which to get I can get a 15 for 9000 otd or I can get a 16 for 10100 otd so it is 1k difference pretty much in price which should I go with honestly I know the decision is mine but really would like some input……please and thanks

Hey guys whats up, my grizzlys showing 104KM , is there anything i should start looking for? is there anything i need to do right now? i notice its developing a squeak in the rear when i sit on it and rock it might just be something that needs some grease? any service that needs to be done this early in the ownership?
Took the Griz on this weekend adventure. Rode from Gorham to Errol Friday. The 550 is a joy to ride. Machine soaked up all the nasties the trails had to offer. Put 113 miles on Friday and my back was no worse for wear ( bulging discs ). Did more riding Saturday morning before attending the Festival events. It was a great weekend event. Got a chance to look at some of the 2016 models, however the new sXs wasn’t there.
Definitely gonna have to make it back to that area.

And are you happy with the purchase, I had a brute force 750 and loved that power don’t think I’ll get that from the grizz but I hope it is close…..what is the hp rating also of this new motor ?
am I the only one that doesn’t like the fact that Yamaha put that worthless, if you use your front rack, light on the handle bar and moved the instrument cluster up there also.
I really like the panel down low where it is less likely to get damaged in the event of a little whoops.
I was looking forward to an upgrade in a few years, but now I’m not sure if a new grizz is in my future.
