Clunking noise from the tran

Last week I went to put a few more hours on my new Grizzly. I have almost 6 hours now on it. :icon_ nono2:
I know what you guys thinking, however time is still a luxury for me and I don’t have a lot to spare.
Looking forward for my trip in September. I will have a week to go and ride the quad. I want to be done with the break in period by then, do my oil change and first maintenance and be ready.
I need some direction or feedback on how to ride when to use low gear and when can I use high gear.
I’m listening to the engine and is spurring nicely . the terrain i’m riding is mostly hills, quite steep hills, and I’m questioning if I should ride there considering my engine is still breaking in. Sometimes I have to push the accel more then half to keep the engine running and not bog down. During engine break in period is that Ok?

Question for you:
1. I was coming downhill in High gear 2X4.
The engine had still a lot of braking and the speed I was going was comfortable enough for me to control the machine without using much the hand brakes.
At one point the speed increased a little and I heard some clunking noise in the trans, coming from my right foot area.
It clunk once or twice and as soon I push the brake and reduced the speed it went away.

later on I was in the same situation and I heard the noise again. .
I switched to low gear and 4X4 and everything was OK.
In 4X4 the quad is barely moving downhill. I have to push gas a little to keep it moving.
The engine break is phenomenal.

From your experience this noise was normal or is something unusual going on?
I also sometime have a very hard time switching the gears.
I feel the rod bending under the pressure but it will not disengage or get into the next gear.
Is this something I have to be worried or is normal for a new machine?

2016 Grizzly Gas Mileage

First off gas mileage will vary so much that my numbers are kind of meaningless but here’s a few numbers from my ride today . I filled my bear at home she was topped right up . At 38 miles my 4th bar checked out I was down to 3 . At 55 miles my 3rd bar checked out I was down to 2 I was watching closely . I then stopped and filled my bear up at the gas station it took 6.307 liters ( I’m in Canada ) . Looking at my manual my grizzly holds 18 liters . Doing the math quickly I should be able to do about 150 miles on a tank as roughly 6 liters = 55 miles so 18 liters should get me to 150 . 6 X 3 = 18 .

Now I just noticed that my manual says I have another 4 liters of reserve fuel , I never read that till now . So if that’s indeed the case your go a lot farther than the 150 miles . So the grizzly must hold 22 liters in total .

Stickers .. where to you stick yours…

So i was in the garage moments ago and was starting to pull the grizz plastics off to get to the air filter.. I reached over and saw my elka stickers laying on my bench. Started thinking man i have a couple of stickers pilled up for this dang grizzly. which at that moment the realization of just how much money i’ve put into the grizz in mods and repairs .. made me a bit sad i think 🙁 somehow the girl friend still lives with me…

Anyways Just wondering where others stick theirs? On the grizz somewhere, on the tool box, on the wall/desk where the checkbook and credit card used to be that the lady took away from you for purchasing to much crap… :icon_ goofy:

I’m missing a few here, I thought i had a few from EHS Racing, Dynatek, and trinity racing but can’t find them at the moment.
