Exhaust tip & spark arrester

2014 450 Is the exhaust tip with small opening required for back pressure. I know the spark arrester is required, but can the actual exhaust opening be as large as the muffler without harming the motor? I can fabricate a larger spark
arrester. Will it harm the motor if the Exhaust tip/spark arrestor is removed?
Thanks, Tom/Idaho

Carbuerator hose connections !

Hi. First timer here. My 1998 grizzly 600 has a wack of hoses coming from the carb and breather and they were not attached. I am wondering where they have to be attached! I have tried some ways that seemed to make sense but she still bogs out and gives some bad sounds.I also here some hissing sounds and am wondering where they were coming from. I’m hoping that i could find someone who knows the problems or if i can a video site.

Tire Pressure

I recently had to repair one of my tires on my grizzly and saw that the max psi is 36 for my tires. What is the actual psi that should be in the tires? Or what does everyone recomend?

Hibernation Day

Well todays the day my Bear goes into her den its time for her to hibernate . Been a fantastic season setting a new personal best mileage wise did 6000 miles . 2000 on my 2012 and 3929 on my 16 . Next years goal is to top that its good to have a goal , now I wait for snow :peace:

it’s probably nothing.

Hey guys whats up, got the grizzly out on a trail ride the other day,the bike worked flawlessly all day, BUT THEN…… on the way back we encountered a long mud hole the water was about 3/4 of the way up the tires, but i know it had a soft bottom cause i have been through there lots of times when its dry and its always just a mudslick, so being just me and the girlfriend i decided to play it safe and use the 4×4 and put the diff lock on, so i put it in diff lock at the edge of the mud, as soon as i started into the mud not even hardly into it the bike started to sputter like it was gonna die, but then i just kept on the throttle and it rallied around and powered through it never did that again but i was just wondering why it did that

the only think i can think of is that i didnt put it in low when i locked the diff, would that be the problem?

Finally got my winch on and….

Finally went and installed my Superwinch LT3000 and guess what?

It would let out cable but not reel it back in.

Lucky for me that the farm store I bought it at could look up my purchase and was nice enough to exchange it, although it had been months since I’d bought it.

The install went much faster the 2nd time:banana:
And it worked too! The solenoid was bad on the 1st one.
