Hello out there. I am new to all of this. I have a few 4wheelers that I use for snow plowing. My 2011 grizzly 550 died on me at the beggining of our last storm and crippled my operation. It fired up fine and made it 4 miles through town to my first property. The guy running it got started and a few minutes later came and flagged me down saying it was dead in the water. Turns over just fine but wont fire. I checked the spark plug and it didn’t look bad but didnt seem to be getting any spark. I put in a new plug and noticed it was getting very weak spark. Tried a shot of starting fluid and it wouldn’t even fire that. Ended up trailering it home and now it is sitting in the shop. Any ideas out there? Coil, rectifier or stator maybe? Until this it hasn’t displayed any issues. The machine only has around 1500 miles on it. The issue definitely seems to be electrical. I checked the ohm on the coil but i don’t know what the normal parameters should be. I got a read out of 1.2 ohms between the two electrical connections (red/black and orange), and a read out of 20.25 kohms between the plug wire and the red/black wire connection. So now I am asking for advice/help before I give up and pay a shop an arm and a leg.
Thanks!
Doesn’t anybody on here ride old grizzlies? I got a good buy on a 1998 600, In the process of putting a winch and snow plow on it. I’m mainly using it for work on my property (10 acres) .But even tho I’m 61, I still plan on doing a little bit of playing. I only paid $850.00 for it, so I can make plenty of improvements to it.Next on the list is a new set of tires. The ones on it are pretty good but are starting to weather.
Searching thru the forums I don’t see much chatter about the old ones.

I am going to replace my 2010 Honda and was thinking about the 2016 Grizzly EPS SE. My question is about the belt drive, how long may it be until I would have to change a drive belt. I am retired so my riding is not aggressive. I have a couple of friends that just bought the new Honda’s and they are having problems with the shifting on these 2016 so I am seriously considering the Yamaha. I realize no belts would be changed yet on the 2016 model but in your past experience what amount of miles would one expect to get on a belt.

Haven’t been on here in a while because I sold my Grizzly….Well after I sold my Grizzly to some random, one of my buddies bought it from him somehow. After that another buddy buys it from him. Well that buddy went with us to West Virginia this past weekend and had some bad luck. First day of riding the ball joint nut falls off somehow and ball joint comes out of A arm and bent tie rod, we found nut, winched up a tree, and fixed it. Next day he breaks A arm in half and bends tie rod worse. Had to winch him to another buddies King Quad and tow him 40 miles back to the house… Here is the video….enjoy

Hello all. I have found 2 Grizzly 125’s that I am considering for my 7 year old son. The 2005 seems to be in near perfect condition and the 2013 is in good condition with a few bumps and bruises. There is a $500 price difference between the two, with the 2013 model being more expensive. My question is are there any major differences between the two model years that I am unaware of. Thank you in advance for any help.
