Moose plow and RM3 frame mount

Hi all, new poster here. Just picked up a nice used 700 and will be shopping for a plow setup. Have sort of narrowed the search to the Moose or Warn Provantage with front mounts. I just saw a used Moose plow for sale on Craigslist with the older RM3 mount. Did a search but didn’t come up with anything. Is anyone running this system? Should I pay more and go with the RM4 mount instead if I decide on the Moose? The price is $300 and the plow looks in good shape from the photo and has been used a few seasons.

Looked at a bunch of winch reviews and was pretty settled on Superwinch Terra 35. Just found this however and was curious about opinions and/or someone with experience with Detail K2.

Gold Plugs

I know a lot of you guys use Gold Plugs (magnetic drain plugs) for your oil and differentials and there has been some question about sizes.

I had some older (two years old) but still new in the package Gold Plugs for my Grizzly and decided to measure them before installing. Two were too long so I contacted Gold Plugs via e-mail. They’re pretty busy but I got a reply in about a day.

The plugs they sell now are shorter so no need to worry anymore. Use the "Look Up" tool on their web site.

The really great thing is their customer service. Outstanding!

After verifying my old plugs via e-mail and pictures, Tim is sending me a new set absolutely free! He wouldn’t even let me pay the shipping!

Now don’t go asking Tim for free stuff guys… but definitely get your plugs from Gold Plugs! :icon_ goofy:

Thank you Tim, you guys are awesome!

Fender Bags?

I love having my hard box but… my front rack has my RotoPax on it and I need something for quick access items.

I was looking at fender bags. Does anyone have a recommendation or experience with them?

Thanx! :happy2:

Two 2 Way Radios? What Do You Use? Chatterbox X1 Slim

Anyone have experience with the Chatterbox X1 Slim?

We are currently using Midland 2way radios with the helmet setups. They work fine in my opinion but the wife doesn’t care for all the cords… Cord from helmet to radio and from radio to PTT button on left grip. Not that the stuff gets in her way, but she doesn’t like being held up after a break trying to get everything hooked back up again. This would eliminate the radio on her hip and attached cord. She would end up with just a cord from helmet to PTT button OR not even that if we got the Bluetooth PTT button.

This unit also has some added features where we can Bluetooth music and use the phone with it, which would be nice but not necessary.

I do want to stick with the 2way radio instead of a Bluetooth intercom system because it’s simpler and can have unlimited users. We also have lots of jeeps and RZR’s that we ride with that want a handheld unit with or without a headset.

Anyhow, if any of y’all have experience with this unit or some other one that you like, I would appreciate your input!

Thanks!:rocker:

What plow(s) will fit my mounting hardware?

Ok so I got my 2007 Grizzly 350 4×4 yesterday and found out there is already a Cycle Country mount installed on the ATV. I think it’s a mid mount but not sure. It’s underneath the ATV and the holes are about in the middle of the ATV. Now my question is, am I limited to a Cycle Country plow or can I use any other plow? I want to start shopping around for one but want to make sure I know what to get. The ATV has a winch on it so it is already technically really for a plow install.

Any other information you can give me would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
