I put the Outback on last Friday morning and it sat in the rain for two days with no leakage. Which is already better than my old box. The grips are foam but the mount kit has wingnuts, a big backing plate and soft rubber gaskets. The seat cushion bottom is held on by a Velcro strap and the gas can strap seems is easy to tighten up and holds tension on the can. The gas can pocket also fits two 6-pack freezer coolers.
The latches on this one are just a 1/8" bungee that grabs a hook molded into the lid. I imagine they’ll stretch out over time but still better than the crap push button lock latch that Kimpex uses on other trunks (the Dry Ride display model at the dealer had one side broken already). I found some arctic cat snowmobile hood straps that will be a good replacement.
I don’t know if it was supposed to be but the base is about 1/4" thick. Having had the flimsy base ripped out on previous trunks this made me happy. I cut the grab handle off of my rear rack so I could position the box as far aft as I wanted. I also cut about 2" of seat bottom foam out so it can sit farther rearward. I like to be able to use as much of my own seat as possible. Also made in Canada which is a plus. I bolted some 6" long bungees to the insides of the box to serve as handles when I have smaller riders.
How do you guys haul your drinks? I like to carry some water and often barley pops when I am cruising around and I was wondering how you guys do it? I used to have a hard shell 12 pack cooler that I tarp strapped to my back rack (I liked it because the water didnt leak out) but it slid around a little more than I like. I’m not opposed to some kind of rack bag cooler or something either, but if i’m gonna spend some money i would want it to have other storage too.
Just wondering how you guys hauled your cold drinks or snacks

I’ve been researching winches for my 700 and I can’t seem to figure out why this "appears" to be such a good deal. Am I missing something? I am tempted to buy it but you know "too good to be true".
Well I can’t post links yet (sorry new member) but the ebay title is "VIPER Elite 2500lb ATV Snow Winch GREEN AmSteel-Blue Synthetic Rope MotoAlliance" if anyone wants to take the extra effort to help. (price is $188.99)

Going to Colorado in a few weeks and decided I probably will need to bring along some extra fuel with me on the trails.
Any input on Rotopax vs. Koplin packs? Do either have issues leaking or build quality? My understanding is the mounts for either will interchange.
Looking for ideas on how to install and haul the fuel packs. I’m going with 2 two gallon packs. I’m thinking about mounting one up front & one in the rear to equalize the weight. Front one will be on the rack and laying flat. I have a Plano container on the back so I’m thinking of getting a vertical mount and hanging it off the back. Any pics?
I’m not sure what kind of gloves (if any) y’all use for warm weather riding. I just gave in on my 15 year old MSR gloves I had from dirt bike riding. They are great, but the fingers and palms were wearing through.
So I was looking around at the options and most are just thin material with no padding/rotection, or way too much protection.
A buddy uses a nice pair of Mechanix gloves, so I just got a pair. I have to say they are really nice. Great padding on the knuckles/front of the fingers, they seem breathable and have good feel on the palms/inside of the fingers/tips.

Hey Guys, I have been thinking about getting a GPS system for my Grizzly, to better assist me and my friends/family on our longer rides. That and I think its cool to track where we are going, even on my own hunting property.
I know that there are some apps and things that we can download on our Iphones, but I’m not sure about how good they would be, not to mention the battery life on my phone tends to suck.
I’d like a GPS that I can carry with me, charge on my grizz, thats water proof, that I can possibly plug into my laptop and down load the maps, and do over lays with. Any suggestions?
Hi all, new poster here. Just picked up a nice used 700 and will be shopping for a plow setup. Have sort of narrowed the search to the Moose or Warn Provantage with front mounts. I just saw a used Moose plow for sale on Craigslist with the older RM3 mount. Did a search but didn’t come up with anything. Is anyone running this system? Should I pay more and go with the RM4 mount instead if I decide on the Moose? The price is $300 and the plow looks in good shape from the photo and has been used a few seasons.
