A buddy of mine is in the market for a mountable 2 way radio for his RZR. We all use 2 ways on the trail and he is tired of fumbling with a handheld radio and headset. I went to doing research and found the recently released Midland MXT100. There’s a couple youtube vids out there. One of those is a rather dry but informative 17 minute video by buytwowayradios dot com.
On the Midland site, it’s being advertised as a RVing, ATV/UTV or general road tripping radio where there’s more than one vehicle involved. And if space is a concern, this radio isn’t much bigger then a deck of cards. Mounting options aren’t limited either. If you want to mount on the roof with the speaker facing down, the display will flip. It will also accept an external speaker, which is important to my buddy and probably a good idea with all the machine and trail noise when cruising.
It shows to be available at the midland factory outlet store but for some reason they are showing it as an MXT1000 instead of MXT100. They want 150 bucks for it.
Anyhow, I thought this would be useful for any other 2way radio users out there that also have a SxS. And FYI, the mic is hard mounted and not removable from the radio. My plan would have been to use our helmet setups with this radio hard mounted to our 4wheelers (tucked away in a box). I’m sure it could be done with some cutting of wires and soldering, though.
Iv been searching forums all over the net and i cannot find a solution to my issue. I hope someone here can help. So this past winter my winch (warn rt25) stopped working completely. So i hit the web and found out to put jumper cables from the battery to winch terminals. Winch works perfectly in and out. I traced the winch wires back to the contactor and they are fully intact and connected fine. Removed the entire rocker switch on the handle bar and wired directly to contactor and battery, winch only will go in. If i reverse the wires winch will go out. So next i removed the contactor, disassembled it to ensure all wires were attached then i reassembled it, still only 1 direction. Replaced the contactor with a new one, still only 1 direction either in out out but not both. I also did disassembled the winch and nothing inside seemed burned or ruined like iv seen picture of. Any advise, besides warn winches are junk?

Hi guys, I’m looking for durable, mean looking bumpers for my 2014 450. From what I’ve read the super atv bumpers are a bomb and won’t fit. I do have a warn 2500# winch. I don’t want bumpers that weigh 20lbs apiece. I would consider doing custom bumpers.
Anybody have a low profile storage box they would reccomend?
Pics? Reccomendations? I’d love to find something that’s 4-6" tall. But it seems to be kind of hard to find.
It’s for a 2014 grizzly 700 if it makes a difference
Thanks!
I have a speaker tube with a 400w amp and 2 6.5" speakers and the last time I ran it my rectifier went out. While those may be unrelated, I don’t want to take a chance. I am planning on wiring the speakers to a separate battery that I will charge while I am at camp.
My question is how long should I expect the stereo to run off that second battery before it is drained?
