Polaris RiderX app?

Has anyone tried the Polaris RiderX app? It seems very simple to use, but I’m not sure how well it would work. One good thing it has is a bluetooth interface. If you buy the Polaris diagnostic port dongle it will project gauges with all the engine vitals onto the RiderX GPS app.
Thanks
Mark

Elite 5m Baja best maps?

recently bought a Lowrance elite 5m baja. I see that maps are available for different geographical areas for different prices. One offers the entire U.S. For $99 ( I think called fast tracks), while they also offer the U.S. West or East for $99 each. Can I just get the entire USA, or do I need the more detailed east or west? I ride Colorado (Taylor Park), Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas, so if I go with the more detailed maps I need east and west.

Any advice on Lowrance maps is appreciated.

Utah member needs help with iPad

I must admit there are some things that really confuse me and setting up my iPad for use with the razor is one of them. I have been reading so many threads/posts about this made me realize how little I knew.

I have a Generation 3 (with Retina display) WiFi only. I don’t use it very often so I thought why not use it in the razor. I’m not too concerned about mounting as even I can figure that out but am lost when it comes to …

1. Easiest to use app to download? More than one app needed?
2. How to download maps?
3. Sharing of maps with others?

Can anyone help this 62 yr old GPS blockhead? I just want to see where we are, where we’re headed, and keep tracks on unit for return trips. We’re going to go to the Paiute Trail system possibly Memorial weekend and would like to get started with this latest idea. I also use an iPhone 6 if that makes any difference.

Polaris lowrance xtr help

I bought a used Rzr with this system installed and have no idea how to use it (my extent of GPS knowledge is limited to the Magellan in my car). The guy I bought it from had no manual and I can’t find anything online. Anyone know where I can get instructions on how to use this or a place to purchase the manual?

PIDD trails from Riderx

So I’m having trouble loading a route into my PIDD. I mapped a route from Mesquite NV to Toroweep AZ (Grand Canyon) on Riderx, saved it, downloaded it to my laptop, transfered it to my USB drive, and attempted to inport it to my PIDD. It shows the GPX file on the screen, in the usb drive, will let me select to inport it, then starts the import and tells me the file is invalid. I can save a driven route, export it to the thumb drive, transfer to my laptop, and back to the PIDD, so I figure my thumb drive is OK. File size is 42.2 MB, Polaris says it can only hold 10,000 points on any one of ten routes to save, but nothing I can find shows me how many points are in the file.

Besides that I can’t open the route on my laptop with my Garmin City Navigator program, nor can I open a saved route from the PIDD, funny since the file has the Garmin logo on it.

Anyone have any luck inporting mapped out routes? How did you get it to work? Which mapping program? Able to open a saved route that was exported from the PIDD?

No help from the experts at Polaris, (so far).

HELP!! Please.

Backcountry Navigator Help

I generally consider myself reasonably PC savvy, but getting GPS tracks/files onto my tablet has frustrated me to no end. I’m about ready to order a Montana and try my luck with it, but thought maybe someone can help me out.

Equipment: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3
Program: Backcountry Navigator Pro

I’ve tried downloading GPS files on the PC and then transferring to the tablet. When I tried to download files directly on to the tablet it did not work. When I hook the tablet to my PC via a USB cable, it beeps but nothing pops up on the PC screen like most instructions say it should. What am I missing? Do I need a special program on the PC to do the transfer?

What file formats are supported by Navigator Pro? It seems like so many of the files are in the Garmin img format.
